Wish the conquest had more models.

Still hate the baby blue color threads on the NRX.

Shimano's Conquest and Poison Glorious rods  use the same blank.  There is a new '21 Poison Glorious utiluzing toray 1100g graphite and nanoplus tech.  Id bet this new Glorious blank will be next years 'Conquest +'.

Besides the fact that every NRX is built on a Friday by short attention span teens, they have a hodge podge  of recoil and torzite guides, the updated NRX+ has the same blank as the Conquest, without the improved build quality the Conquest usually has.

Go with the Conquest or better yet pass on the Glorious and go with the Ultima if you are wanting to stay under the Shimano umbrella.

My conquest and nrx both looked equally bad. The weird thing is the GLX model I have was perfect.

The new NRX+ blank has the addition of 'spiral X construction' , which shimano employs on the Adrena, Glorious , and Ultima.  Same graphite/scrim as the OG, and rolled in Wiodland, WA.

The Conquest also has Spiral X.

Only conquest I have is 844 mbr but it’s my favorite rod. I also have nrx+ 903, 873, 854 and an 852 spinning. I can’t really say one is more sensitive than the other.

I think more than anything the action you are looking for will dictate which one you go with. If you want an mbr action then you can’t go wrong with the conquest. If not then I’m sure you can find something in the nrx+ line that will fit the bill.
