So tomorrows forecast is cooler temps, cloudy and possible rain showers starting at 7am lasting well into the night. Lately its been hot and clear so ive been throwing more finessey stuff...small popper, wacky worm, Ned rig etc. I'm excited to hopefully get a few bass power fishing. I've got buzzbait, spinner bait, popping frog and flipping jig tied on. Hopefully it works out.

Good luck tomorrow. We had cooler temps and showers here this morning. I was able to catch a half dozen on top water. Z-Man Billy Goat. Caught another half dozen pitching a T-rig, and a couple on a fooball jig. It was an enjoyable morning, didn't even break out the rain gear. Showers felt good so I just let 'em soak me.

That's my plan. If it pours ill sit in the truck and ride it out. Otherwise I'm taking a nice gentle nature bath.

I pray for the rain to hit here as well.   Many of our lakes are very low water right now.  The smoke from the wild fires in Canada is a little disheartening, but cooler temps, less humidity, and a little rain is awesome!!   Good luck out there.

Wish I could send you some! We are overwhelmed with storms every day or so and such high water that its covered a lot of the wood we fish. Water temps have dropped several degrees as well. Go Figure.

Rain can definitely help but I just think whenever you have changing conditions whether that's rain, clouds, wind...it all plays a part. Shifting wind is one thing I've started to pick up on more. Prevailing winds here are NW usually. If I see it's supposed to do a 180 and start blowing south or SW the next day I do what I can to get out there. Doesn't always pay off but it seems to more often than not.

Weather change didn't have any benefit this morning...fished a while and had 1 dink. May go back closer to dark see what's up.

Lol! Most fishermen like to quiet about certain things and I do not blame them. I like to share so I mentioned how certain places I fish have amazing fishing when the water level is high. Other places have amazing fishing when the water level is low. I learned this by putting my time on the water, I am sure there are many members that do well in high water conditions as well. It is very easy to complain about how hot it is, how much it has rained, all that complaining doesn't fix anything.  What works is doing your best and learn as much as possible from each fishing trip. Here in South Florida people are currently complaining about how hot it is and how much it has rained yet there are many people here that are catching lots of bass regardless of these conditions. Bass are have a higher metabolism during the Summer which means they have to eat more. This means there will always be some bass feeding, you just have to figure out what they want, where they want it, and when they want it.

yeah same, we got some wierd summer rains in socal and it was FIRE for fishing. overcast, windy, rainy, and topwater/powerfishing ALL day. it was like a comfortable 70 overcast all day, problem is, when it got hot the next day to the standard 95 it was VERY humid and uncomfortable, but how can you complain yknow?

We would be happy to send you some rain and cooler temps, like @Tatsu Dave mentions, we've been getting t-storm like every night. Mushrooms are growing in my backyard...we're not even out of July!

Most around here would take you up on it.  We did have a little bit of rain and a welcome cool down to mid 70’s, but it looks short lived.  The 10 day is back to heat and dry.  Our lay downs are out of the water now    Not useful cover anymore.    ?

Liked the song its playing now, I've lost count of the rain storms now. All last nite stopped this morning..........fished in the rain the other night. Kept switching between ploppers and ocho's they kept biting. Sidenote that I gotta mention, big smallie came aboard and left me three large crawfish on the floor...two starting to digest and one looked like it was just eaten (big boys 3 1/2" and meaty bodies). Dark backs and reddish/orange belly.

Rain kicked in here yesterday morning about 7:00. Fished for about 3 hours in a steady rain. Not wind driven, was nice. Ducked under a few bridges just to get out of it on a couple occasions Caught two decent fish in my first rain free hour. During the rains caught two dozen dinks and runts. I’ll take. Nice steady rain.
