In the history of the NFL, until last year, no team has ever hosted a super bowl.  Tampa became the first team to do that last year.  Now the Rams will be hosting a super bowl.  Think about that.  It literally never happened until last season and now it's occurred two years in a row.  What are the chances.

In 2023 the super bowl is scheduled to be hosted by the Cardinals in Glendale.

I would say 2 in 56.

No disrespect to the Bengals but this is an easy of a SB pick since the 85 bears.

Cardinals could be a threat if hopkins gets healthy

I'm trying to figure this one out.  There's 32 teams.  But, not every team is able to host a super bowl.  It's generally reserved for southern/warmer destinations or indoor stadiums if they are in the north.  I can recall one being in NY after Metlife Stadium was built but they aren't going to play a super bowl at Lambeau Field or Heinz Field outside in the winter elements.

I would say based on this, there are about a dozen venues that receive consideration to host a super bowl every season.  But obviously out of those dozen teams, the chances of them making the playoffs and then winning 2 or 3 games in the playoffs to get there is slim.

This may be more complicated that I thought...

I wouldn’t count Joe Burrow out, and not saying I could do the job but Sean McVay tried to give away the last 2 games in my opinion with some of his challenges and clock management. With that said I’m rooting for Matthew Stafford because I like him as a humble human being as well as a quarterback, but I certainly wouldn’t be upset if the Bengals win. Just hoping for one last good game this season ?

Only 4 teams with a chance. Imo

AFC - KC and Tenn

NFC - Green bay and Tampa bay.

Anyone else to win it would be a shocker.

For anyone following bird’s lead pipe lock pick for the super bowl……

I think I also saw a bucs vs pats super bowl pic from ya in this thread too

I was just thinking there have been 56 Super Bowls and it has happened 2 times. Just using numbers, I'm not a math teacher though.

Stafford is another Ryan Tannehill & will throw at least 3 picks.

I'm guessing there will be fewer fans of WFT on sports radio here calling in this week and saying "Maybe we should go after Garropolo"

That used to be me.  A couple of roommates I used to have were heavy into sports gambling and online poker while I lived with them.  They sucked me into the sports gambling for a couple years.

I've mostly given up on that now other than maybe one or two prop bets during the super bowl or picking a team before the season starts or during the playoffs.  Betting on the NFL is generally a losing proposition though because the teams are so even and the competitive balance is very difficult to predict.  I did much better when I bet on college football because there is a much wider gap between the good teams and the crappy ones.  If you look at the weekly spreads in the fall you'll see what I'm referring to.

Nowadays I'd rather just invest any disposable income.

Smart money here has been on Commanders for weeks.  hooray.  Fresh start on a new era of futility.

Fans overwhelmingly wanted Red Wolves.  Dan Snyder apparently unwilling to pay T-Wolves enough to prevent a lawsuit.

The NFC East needs the Washington Football Team to be relevant again.

I think I like Commanders better than the Red Wolves....I guess

Personally, I kinda wish Snyder didn’t succumb to the pressure.

just the ones where one team doesn’t have to play defense in OT. I think it’s something like 10 out of 12 in playoff games (which is why mahomes celebrated when they won the coin toss and burrow winced )

I wish the Cleveland Indians and North Dakota Fighting Sioux were still a thing too.

You know darn well that the Atlanta Braves, Kansas City Chiefs, and Chicago Blackhawks are next.  Its only a matter of time.

Our local school used to be the 'Mohawks'...then someone got up in arms and now it's the 'White Hawks'.
