This is the first comment on BR that has genuinely made me laugh.

It’s just crazy to see old uncle josh on TW.

Uncle Josh Pork Trailers, who has these in their tackle anymore, and fishes them?  I know Gerald Swindle said he has a hidden stash somewhere of the original stuff. :unibrow:

I have about a dozen jars that I've been carefully guarding and using only for special occasions. Say it with me now "Pigs like pork".

They use to make a Spring Lizard/Waterdog . I   used a black one on a black jig if I thought I could get a big bass . Didnt catch a lot on it but they were usually hawgs .

I used them back then, but doubt that I’ll go back to using them. They work, no doubt, but they’re a pain to remove and if you leave them on a jig the hook ends up rusting. I actually had a tool that looked like a big crochet needle that would slip over the barb so I could remove them with much less effort.

Knowing they quit production because "the quality pork supply is no longer available,"  I asked them if these were the same as the original.  "Yes, but they're different." is the answer I got.

When pushed further, they clammed up and directed their attention to others in the booth.

So...NOT the same as the original.  Whether or not they perform as well is yet to be known.

Thank you for this info. I volunteer as test subject. Planned on throwing the jig and pig quite a bit this winter.
