Hello All,

I'm looking for some advice on these two kayaks for creek fishing and maybe some small lakes. I know both of the boats are wide and both will likely be fairly slow, but I love the simplicity and stability of them both. I'm thinking both will be great grab and go boats when I want to leave the pdl yak at home. So my main concern is which kayak is easier to paddle for those that have used both?  I'm interested in specifically these two as my local shop carries them both and they are in my price range for my secondary boat.

Thanks for the help!

Jackson Bite, without question, if you are looking for more of a throw-n-go creek boat...  The Outlaw is a beast.  It weighs in at ~80lbs, which is similar to my Bonafide SS107.  The Outlaw I handled actually felt heavier or perhaps more cumbersome than my Bonafide.  ...Basically, I'm thinking that your experience with the Outlaw will be more akin to your pedal yak...  While the Bite is definitely not a "light-weight," itself, it does weigh in a bit lighter, and it is a more nimble boat...  Given that you already have a pedal yak, have you considered something much lighter, such as a Crescent Ultralight or Native Falcon 11?  Both would be great "grab and go" boats...

The Bite is known to paddle better than the Outlaw according to my dealer. I've not had any experience with the Bite but the Outlaw is a bit of a tank. I've got a decent amount of seat time in one. I think the Outlaw is one of the best values in kayak fishing right now but it's not because of it's ease of paddling.

Both my Voodoo and SS127 paddle better than the Outlaw.
