Well folks I took the plunge a couple weeks ago and put a deposit down on a brand new bass boat.  Figured it was better to do it now while I am still young enough to enjoy it and make the money back that my wife and I are putting into it.  Decided on the Phoenix 819 Pro, not supposed to be done for a while but I am sure with my luck I will get it right in time to winterize it!  haha.  Never seen myself being able to purchase this boat in my lifetime, but have been very blessed and it makes me excited about my future fishing experiences.  Built it just the way I wanted it and am planning on making it be the only boat I will ever have to buy, through taking care of it and keeping it going for many years.  Gonna be so much better to fish out of compared to the boat I have now, so that is the most exciting part for me.

Congrats.  If I were buying one brand spanking new off the showroom floor and planned on keeping it for a long time, I would spend the extra $$ and take it directly to a professional ceramic coating applicator.  I am anal about that though.

Well she showed up yesterday at my dealers out of the blue, no one had any idea it was coming.  To say I am extremely happy with the way it turned out is an understatement.  If I can figure out how to resize a photo of it I will definitely put it on here.  Went yesterday after work to see it, and was happy it came out as I pictured it when I ordered it.  Hoping to get it tomorrow and have it on the water Monday for some break in and fishing.  Don't have much time left to go here in Ohio so going to take advantage if I can!!!

Congrats on the arrival of what sounds like an AWESOME boat.

Just take a pic with your phone from a distance and then enlarge pic as this lowers the MB's, works everytime.

Well today was the first outing, took the day off work and met up with a buddy at a local lake.  They have drained the lake for winter, and he knows the lake better than I do so wanted him to be there with me.  Dropped the boat in the water around 8:30 this morning, got the two hours of idling and low speed stuff on it and then got out in the middle where most of the deeper water was and jumped on her a little bit.  She gets up quick for sure.  We also fished for a few hours, had about two feet of rain the last week or so, so it was stained up pretty good.  We managed to find a few cranking and slimed the boat a little!  All and all it was a great trip, and can't wait till the next time out!

Curious as to what this boat replaced...mom taught me to not be jealous, but that's kinda hard to do. Have fun and let your wife get first refusal rights to your outings. Almost insist that she goes along, and after awhile she may not want to go as often.  (DARN!)  ?

That is a nice rig @FishinBuck07.  I'd be sleeping out in that thing for a night or two the first couple nights I had it.

My wife loves to go when the weather is nice!  She also rarely tells me no when I want to go fishing!  This boat replaced a 2007 Bass Tracker 170.

Thank you very much!  I have been in it more than I haven't been lately!  Haha
