We’ve had waaay too much rain this summer. I have mushrooms in the yard already and just had to pull the plug on the pool for a couple of hours to drain a few inches because it was over flowing.
It really hasn’t been a typical New England summer, that’s for sure.

How’s your summer?

Droughty....IS that a word?

Seriously?
Memorial Day weekend rained. Couldn’t launch the boat.

July 4th weekend, rained all 3 days. My son and I went out on day 2. The bay was great, got past timber island and then I’m going up waves and couldn’t see in front of me for like 20 seconds until I got back down the wave.
Turned around and fished the bay.
If I can’t see in front of me, Imagine a big@ss trawler coming at you a mile or 2 out and you  can’t see because of the waves!
I think I turned into the “I’m getting too old” zone. ?

We've been in drought conditions all year. High water bills from watering the garden but at least I have fresh veggies to ease my pain.

We've had Plenty of Summer Rain this year.

Mt world is Very Green and I like it.

However if it continues into the hard water period,

we may get buried, I mean more than usual . . . .

We've had a few bouts of rain lately but even with that we are still in a pretty bad drought for well over a year now. This week our temps are gonna push 100 plus high dew points...aka miserable.

Its the hottest summer on record here in MN to this point since they've been keeping historical records.  That can change because we still have the rest of July and August considered to be "summer" so the average temperature could drop.  I don't see that happening though.

We are in a major drought here too.  Rivers are approaching historical lows.  Lakes are down 2 feet in some areas.  Northern MN and just to the north near Winnipeg there are wildfires burning and smoke is filling the air when there is a north wind.  Crops have reached a critical tipping point.

I can personally say that its the hottest and driest summer I've ever experienced living here.  I've been here since 1991.  2012 was the worst until this year.  Apparently 1988 was worse than this year but I was not living here then.

I don't like it.  I don't like it one bit.  The local hydrology office says we need 8-10 inches of rain over the course of the next 90 days AND lower temperatures to get out of this drought.

There’s never been a drought in this jungle . Hot, humid, ticks, mosquitos, all the normal things. Can’t wait for winter but I like long daylight

Or take up SCUBA.

We're in a 'Moderate Drought' here in Minneapolis area - not far from us, they're in 'Severe Drought' and in @throttleplate's area, they're in 'Extreme Drought'.

We need rain pretty bad here.  River is way down.  I was banging my motor on my kayak it seemed like all the time today in a stretch of river that I rarely if ever hit bottom

We are having a wetter and cooler than normal summer so far. Only had two 90 degree days so far. Got a couple more days rain coming up and then the heat cranks back up to 90 or above next week.

Here in Northern California we are in severe drought conditions.  Lake Oroville just closed last boat launch other than single lane 4X4 area. Lake is dropping a foot and a half to two feet a day. Still fishing from shore and catching,  but mud means standing 10 to 15 feet from the water.  About to shut down electrical power plant because of low water levels, 100+ day temps,  water rationing in effect, and constant danger of forced evacuations due to local fires, just another day in Paradise.

Here in western VA we've been hot and dry.

Any outside tasks must be done at sunrise.....if you wanna see the next one.

Yeah, back in day when I painted roofs and wanted to beat the heat, waking up folks at 0-dark 30 was Xrated at times....some got insanely irritated.
