That’s messed up. I usually get reels from abu, daiwa and shimano. I think they all come with oil. Quote

Super User WRB Posted July 23, 2021 Super User Posted July 23, 2021 The early Abu Ambassador reels came in a leather case, spare parts, tube of grease and oil. I use CLP Breakfree in a small 1 oz sneeze bottle that comes with a straw to drop oil on worm gear or spool ends. Tom 1 Quote

Dens228 Posted July 23, 2021 Posted July 23, 2021 When I was a Lew's guy every reel came with a little bottle of oil. Diawa reels, no oil. So I bought a bottle for something like $10, should last a lifetime though. Quote

Maybe I'm misremembering, as it's been a couple few years or whatever, but I could have sworn that my Fuego casting reels came with oil. Quote

In fact it spilled on a spool of 12 lb big game that I’ve been using for about 6-8 years, boy does that line slide through the guides nicely I’ve yet to find a bottle that doesn’t explode in the heat 2 Quote

I don’t really know which do and which don’t. I know I have a bunch of them, because I use corrosionX 99% of the time. Quote
