Mizzoumn Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 I'm going on a fly-in fishing trip to a remote part of NW Ontario this September (assuming they proceed with border reopening), and was wonder if any of you have had luck getting mapping for remote lakes for your fishing finding units. We went two years and walleye were up shallow so it was not difficult to locate them, but with us going later in the year, I think it might be a little more difficult as they will be deeper and would like to bring my Garmin 93SV from my boat. Is my only option to purchase the Garmin LakeVu for Canada? Or is there another option for just this one lake (Lake McVicar). Thanks in advance! Quote
Todd Driscoll Posted July 28, 2021 Posted July 28, 2021 A Canada LakeVu mapping card would be your only option (other than recording your own mapping with QuickDraw). However, when I searched for this lake at the Garmin mapping search function below, nothing was found which would mean there is no supported mapping. https://lakes.garmin.com/ 1 Quote
@reelChris Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 You could check the quickdraw community to see if anyone has uploaded a map of that lake. Failing that, Canadian Lakevu maps are on sale on Garmin's site for $99, down from $149. 1 Quote
