I know you can get the Scorpion on Asian Portal Fishing for $156 U.S. dollars shipped to your door. Quote

txchaser Posted July 24, 2021 Posted July 24, 2021 Gilly - a lot of the spots I fish a gill is primary forage. We'll see how it does vs the geecrack. Hella craw will get a shot. Could make an interesting trailer for a chatterbait, and we'll see how it looks on a jig vs the rage craw. Sometimes the gills wont leave the rage craws alone and I end up chewing through packs. Stunna - slight sink seems different enough than the vision 110 that there might be some great situations for it. Or it'll just sit there since I don't end up on many jerkbait bites. Poop bait - I forget the name. Looks like a craw with the claws off. If the berkely research is correct, that thing should be pretty productive. The new Gamakatsu worm weights might make for a better presentation with CPS-style hooks as it might cover the knot and the top of the bait. The evergreen swim jigs are great, so the evergreen buzzbait gets a shot. But the brutal part? Large and mini-blade chatterbaits. Across colors, weights, stealth or regular, weedless or not, I have... a chatterbait problem. And fiddling with new ones like the stealth red/GP, or very heavy ones has been productive. So I'm sure I'll end up with at least a few colors of each of them, and I'm super curious to see where the mini fits in vs a colorado underspin. If the big blade does what I'm hoping, it's an underwater buzzbait. On the other hand, I can't make sense of the backing line they are selling? Costs about what Big Game costs but only has that one use? Maybe I'm missing something. Quote
MAN Posted July 24, 2021 Posted July 24, 2021 I walked the show 5 times to double triple check that i didnt miss anything. There was only 1 lure i saw that had new innovation. All the rest was well... 3 Quote

Chonch12 Posted July 26, 2021 Posted July 26, 2021 Still waiting for PLANO EGDE to make a partial jig/regular box. Would love to have half with the jig holder and half for anything else. Also waiting for them to make a new jig insert that is slight smaller gap for wire/hand tied jigs. I love the box but wire tie jigs like jack hammers move around. I use a small piece of soft plastics to hold them down for now. Atlas bag looks nice but wow $$$$$$ Quote

Super User FishTank Posted July 26, 2021 Super User Posted July 26, 2021 From what I saw I like the new Curado. The one let down to me was the new Hobie kayak, the Mirage Lynx. It has a flat deck. Why would you want a flat deck on fishing kayak? All the stuff I carry no matter how stable it is would end up in the water. Also, if a fish starts flopping around, it will bounce right back into the water. Quote

When I was in kayaking I learned everything was about if the kayak stable enough to stand on, So it was big plus if they are more stable to stand on, What I understood is this one do that job the best by eliminating the rest of property of a kayak can have, It reminds me of a joke that said; you have good job good income good car good food good trips with friends drinking and happy and fishing anytime you want BUT you dont have a wife, So you going to marry now you have wife but you lost everything else(joke ?) Super User Columbia Craw Posted July 26, 2021 Super User Posted July 26, 2021 Andy Morgan Chick Magnet. That makes sense though. It’s a crankbait. Quote

I saw this as Strike King seeing Rapala sell a ton of OG Slims and saying, “We need us one of those.” Didn’t think it deserved to win the Icast award. Will it catch fish? I have no doubts. Quote

I'm excited about it. Tired of breaking those fragile Rapala baits. They have a great mid depth flat sided bait, hopefully this one will be just as good. 1 Quote

You are right. That’s exactly what it is. I’ll try a couple, I like what I see and feel real good about it. I fish Strike King more and more. I’ve gotten a few fish off of the OG Slims this year. The Rapala freak I am I could not resist. I wished they rattled. Majority of my water is stained. I fish the DT’s and Shad Raps a lot. Just looking for a bit of noise. Would not be too difficult to install, easy experiment. The DT-8 will fall right in line with how I fish also. Looking forward to try a couple. 1 Quote

They're just so dang fragile. It was like if I got one snagged, if I could get it unsnagged by just going past it and pulling, I might as well cut the line because they kept pulling apart if I used my lure retriever. My first one I had, I got to catch 1 fish, a 5 pounder, then it got snagged and all I got back was part of the top of the bait with my lure retriever. That's a tough pill to swallow at $10 a pop. Hoping these will be a more durable option. Quote

It actually kind of looks good in the water, but I have to wonder about the durability of that tail? Once it's gone, that bait is done. Quote
