Super User gim Posted July 20, 2021 Super User Posted July 20, 2021 I'm glad they are going back to Lake Oahe in South Dakota. They had one in Pierre, SD a few years ago. LaCrosse has been on there before too but not recently. Both of those locations would be extremely difficult this year if they were doing it there given how dry its been lately. Quote
Hawkeye21 Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 Love that they are going back to La Crosse. If the river stays as low as it is it's going to be a crazy event. 1 Quote
Super User DitchPanda Posted July 20, 2021 Super User Posted July 20, 2021 I'm excited to see Oahe on there again as that's semi local for me. Also la Crosse is always fun to watch. At least I don't see guntersville on there this year. If I watch another tourney where I see a top ten guy fishing the bridges at guntersville I may puke. I watched Bass Talk Live yesterday and at the end of the podcast Matt and Mark picked there dream 8 tourney schedule...was much more interesting than this list. 1 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted July 21, 2021 Global Moderator Posted July 21, 2021 People must have gotten tired of all the small fish in Knoxville! Haha! but seriously we all know the reasons they go to the same places, money. If you want them to come to your town, urge your chamber of commerce to pony up 2 Quote

Also, since many of them have done it before, they already know how to run an event and can therefore be prepared to do it once again. Certain infrastructure is needed to have these events too (lodging, resorts, parking, gasoline, etc). 1 Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted July 21, 2021 Global Moderator Posted July 21, 2021 They’ve said before that these places pony up the coin to have these events here. Infrastructure is another reason. 1 Quote
billmac Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 Is the town listed for the St. Lawrence River event the same as usual? Although Clayton is close by, the event has been held in Waddington for years. In fact, I think Waddington holds the record for the highest attendance at a BASS tournament. Update: My local paper confirms that they are indeed moving to Clayton next year. Quote
volzfan59 Posted July 22, 2021 Posted July 22, 2021 Looks like a pretty good series of tournaments to me. I'm glad they are heading back to Lake Oahe, SD. 1 Quote
jtharris3 Posted July 27, 2021 Posted July 27, 2021 I don’t think it’s a bad schedule. I love seeing the St. John's river, Lake Fork, Lake Oahe and La Crosse back on the schedule. I hope they go back to Toledo Bend sometime. 1 Quote
