Capt No Fish Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 Has anyone fished the bass lake at Nockamixon off the main marina road. I was wondering if it was a good place to take the kids to or if I am wasting my time. What type of stuff is in there? Should I prepare for pan fish only? Thanks! Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted July 20, 2021 Super User Posted July 20, 2021 There's a ton of threads in this forum on this lake. I've never fished it but heard that it's a tough lake to fish. Quote
Tatsu Dave Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 Striper hybrids! Use to fish for them above Conowingo dam and in the tailrace below. Those bad boys can Fight ? Quote

It is very hard to fish and not good for the kids. The one I am talking about is more like a pond. I didn't know if DNR maintained it and stocked it. Quote
Fallser Posted August 2, 2021 Posted August 2, 2021 Are you talking about Lake Towhee? I've never fished it but it does have bass, chain pickerel and panfish in it. I think they may stock it with trout in the spring. It's part of the Bucks County Park system. I'm not sure what rules apply to non-residents of the county. You should be able to find that information on line. Quote
