Saw this posted elsewhere, and looks like it’s been out for about a month, but I thought it was a pretty good take on line and line types, when to use certain types or sizes over others. Seems pretty reasonable, and falls in line with a lot of my thoughts, such as, “braid doesn’t belong on a bait caster except when it does.”

I love it when he calls a 2/3 oz. crankbait "light".  ?

I like this guy. No-BS presentation, clear and with logical reasons.    Nice.          jj

100% agree here.

If our forum members watch or listen to him, I think we can eliminate at least 10% of the same questions over and over what type line or what lb test line?

Im not agreed with him 100% only because I don’t fish heavy cover and don’t see the need of more than 15lb FC line. The rest is pretty much agreed.

Choose the line that match your lures and presentations.

I just watched it and I agree as well. I do think some of my setups are a little overkill on line size due to most being braid.

He made a point on it that gave me an ahh Ha moment. Casting with FC the lure comes off the reel a bit slower thus giving you more accurate casts. I never paid attention to this until he said something. I have only two FC setups, spinnerbait and one for a swim jig. I feel like a dam pro when I’m casting those two! I guess I now know why. I don’t like the stretch at all with FC but man can I be pretty dang accurate with it. I might have to add more to my arsenal.

His skipping video is what helped me finally tame that beast. The more videos I watch of his the bigger a fan I become.
