I really want to know more about Infinite loop on this Stella. I’ve been looking for small size  spinning reel with slow or super slow oscillation. Please post about casting distance compare with same size reel and how it handle braid/super line.

Nope I don’t have the fund for Stella but will definitely keep an eyes out for other Shimano with this technology.

Finally found the Stella FK in stock.  Should be here in a day or two.  Will post comments then.

Where is it in stock?! Most places I’ve checked indicate late March/April. Thanks!

Discount Tackle earlier today claims it is in stock and I ordered expedited shipping.  Sorry if posting vendor names is an issue but this is in response to a specific question.

@Pohaku

That's a good question, and I don't know the answer - I also have friends fishing '18 Stella, Vanquish, Stradic and Twin Power with the original line roller -  it's not going to freeze up on you in a few trips and maybe not in a few years.  But Shimano sells a lot of this part.

When you get to the point the line roller does need rebuilding, upgrading to the MTCW part would be wise.

Bulldog, I did a quick google…is $90 right for one of these??

If so, sheesh that’s quite a bit more than I was expecting!

@bigspirit

on ebay they're selling the new line roller to retrofit on '18 Stella and '19-'21 derivatives (Stradic, Vanquish, Twin Power, etc).  Shimano p/n RD9840.

It looks like they finally copied Tica and Daiwa lead with a TiN-plasma-coated part.

As far as MTCW dual-bearing, no-seals titanium line roller, which retails (+VAT) for $90 (Fishingshop,kiwi sells it VAT-discounted - oops, never mind - OOS).

Seems like a no-brainer to have a braid-functioning Stella, Vanquish, Stradic, Twin Power, Vanford.

Susie's 25" (male) speckled trout on XUL - it made two 50-yd runs.

Spending money on the latest/greatest is a good way to ensure you're always paying full retail price lol!

If you need a new reel, and the current model suits your needs, jump on it.  You'll get what you need AND save some cash.  Win/win.

Hey @QED, did you get your Stella 1000FK yet?  If so, how do you you like it? Hopefully the 2500 and 3000 FK's will be available soon.

Stella FK 1000 on the left and Stella FJ 1000 on the right.  A refinement iteration - darker finish, slightly smoother out of the box, better gear profile/contour, etc., but the slower spool oscillation seems like it might be interesting.  Haven't had a chance to field test it yet.

Nice pic!  Yeah I heard the slower oscillation lays the line more evenly on the spool for better/smoother casting distance.  So please keep us up to date  on how you like it.   Thanks!
