Hey everyone. I was looking for an in-stock Expride, and stumbled upon a website called PMAABEST (pmaabestnet.top) which has tons of high end rods for only around 100 bucks. I'm just posting here to make sure that this is a scam, since I wouldn't want to pass up an NRX for 97 dollars if it was actually real.

Thanks!

Yes you can get an NRX rod for $97 and it's definitely not a scam at all

Website has only been up for a month according to CuteStat - I'd be VERY wary.

With a name like pmaabestnet.top, how could it not be legit?  Seriously though, any website that seems to have that much product, yet couldn't be bothered with getting a serious domain name, probably shouldn't be trusted.  I mean, with a .top domain, there has to have been a better name available, if they were considering staying around for a while.

Thanks everyone. Just making sure I didn’t stumble on some amazing place that everyone knows about. I was 99.9% sure it was fake, but had to be certain.

There are quite a few of these sites popping up. They advertise high $ popular items in many segments. For future reference, there is no way for things to be sold legitimately at these prices. Margins on sporting goods hard goods is not particularly high, so anything over 25% on a stocked, ongoing basis IS too good to be true.

Looks like they're still making money even with their huge discounts. ;)

"pmaabestnet.top is 1 month 2 weeks old. It is a domain having top extension. This website is estimated worth of $ 8.95 and have a daily income of around $ 0.15."

I would have just encouraged the OP to make the leap, sometimes it's best to learn the hard way, since it's blatantly obvious its not legit.

Would you let your grandmother get scammed too if she wasn't certain something wasn't legit?

No, it's absolutely not best to let someone get scammed and lose money when all you have to do is point some things out.

Take it from me, any website with a .top or *** domain is likely a scam.  In fact, I don't know of ANY that aren't.

I'm not sure about your granny but my grandma is sharp as a tack, I don't have to worry about her getting scammed, like my grandma says "don't be so opened minded that your brains fall out."

And besides that, scammers gotta make money too, who am I to intervene?

If a site / company of ANY STATED  SIZE

Can not Have returns.

Has no shipping address or mailing address.

Does not have pictures & specifications of each item.

Has no way for you to contact them

Has no real building location.

Could be SUBSTITUTING  junk / cheap / rejects.

Fails several of the above checks.  I do not deal with them. I always call my major C C companies to find out if they really have / are a company...............Always use a CREDIT CARD !!!!!!!!!!!

I always do a web search of the website

Problems with ..........www. jackfrostripoffs.com .............

The search usually solves many problems.

Pelican’s social media page on FB had a similar scam as it had been hacked (80% off etc) a couple weeks ago. Deals like that for expensive items are almost  always a scam.
