Whatever Posted July 14, 2021 Posted July 14, 2021 Does anyone know which solvent might work for brush clean up with U 40 Perma Gloss rod finish? The bottle specifies U 40 brush cleaning, which is $5 for 4 oz. I am guessing it is just alcohol, as it works on epoxy according to the label. Quote
spoonplugger1 Posted July 14, 2021 Posted July 14, 2021 It's not alcohol, and if you remove as much as you can from the brush before dropping it in the bottle, it will last for over a year. Mine has. Quote
Super User MickD Posted July 14, 2021 Super User Posted July 14, 2021 The U40 and Flex Coat brush cleaners work great on epoxy and other stuff I've tried them on. Great products. As stated above, not alcohol. Quote

Super User MickD Posted November 18, 2021 Super User Posted November 18, 2021 One advantage of the U40 and FlexCoat brush cleaners is that they work on almost anything, even Testors today, and they are not volatile. They do not make dangerous fumes. And they do work on Permagloss. Quote
Chris Catignani Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 Paint Thinner is also an option...you can buy a 32oz can for about $7...thats about .21 cents an ounce versus U40 brush cleaner at about $1.25 an ounce. 1 Quote
