I paired a new Cronarch with a new Cashion(made in Sanford NC) rod for my pitching needs. I dialed  it in yesterday and will take it out tomorrow night and give it a good workout.

Noice...How do you like the Cashion?  The reviews on them really vary.

I'll let you know tomorrow evening.

Tomorrow  night will be the 5th trip with this setup.  I wanted to do multiple trips before I put up a review.

How many more trips before the review?  Got to agree trying a combo in the yard and then posting a review doesn't say a whole lot about anything other than an initial impression.

Cashion Icon 6-9 worm and jig rod review.

I chose this rod after a new Shimano broke on a hook set. It's  very light and quite sensitive.  It's  paired with a Cronarch and it's  probably the smoothest set up I've  had.

It casts/pitches well and after I got it dialed in it took little effort to pitch to targets. There's  plenty of backbone to get fish out of the nasty stuff. I would recommend this rod any time.  I will more than likely  buy one of their cranking rods soon.

I had heard mixed reviews  on this brand but I really like it.

A friend of mine has the 7' MH/MF  John Crews squarebill rod from Cashion. It's his favorite rod. He let me use it a bit, and I noticed how light it was.

I suspect that the light weight causes some people to doubt the ruggedness and longevity of the rods. Time will tell.
