We had a tornado go by about 1/2 hour ago associated with Elsa. I actually got video of it as it moved past the south end of our lake. Also got some damage video. I am terrible with video- thought it wasnt  on and it was  , and vice versa…

Better a tornado than a sharknado...

Seriously though, glad you're ok

Power is still out. I think we got 3-4 inches of rain. Found out the tornado was about 1/4  of a mile East of us at its closest point, which isnt visible on the video.

Glad to hear you are ok. Tornados are very dangerous and hard to predict when exactly they will occur. I lived through Hurricane Andrew and many other hurricanes. Have seen roads completely blocked by trees, canals flooded completely over the road, etc. It is not easy to deal with this when this happens but it is the price to pay for living in a state that everyone seems to visit or want to retire in. Beats dealing with freezing weather for more than half the year!

Yeah, it was nothing more than rain and 20 mph sustained winds until that last band came through…

Glad you're okay! We are getting a little left over Elsa in Wilmington, N.C.  as I write this. Tornado watch. Just a little rain right this minute.

Got cousins in your area. One lives in the Ogden/ wrightsville bch. area. She had a lot of damage with that hurricane 2 years or so ago… stay safe!

On another subject;

My mom was from Clarkton. They used to fish some of the lakes around there like white lake, singletary, waccamaw, etc. Have you ever fished any of them?

Sorry if we had this discussion before…

Yes, Waccamaw... It a tough one to crack for me. Lots of gators too! The locals know where the fish are though. Clarkton has some nice rual properties. I like that area.  I mostly fish Sutton Lake if I take the boat out... it's a steam plant lake with some real nice bass in it.
