Best hooks for WR senkos

I've tried the VMC ones with the wire to make it weedless and I found the same thing.  That and the wire would get all bent out of shape and I could never get it back the way it needed to be to be weedless again.  The thing I like about the Fusion19 hooks is they use a piece of fluorocarbon to make them weedless and it gets out of the way pretty easily when a fish bites but doesn't when pulling it over cover.

When the VMC Crossover Ring came out, I gave them a shot. I really liked the idea that I could rig wacky or Neko with the same ring. I honestly could be using the first one I tied on - they are that durable for me.

I recently got a pack of the Lazer Sharp Chris Zaldain weedless Neko hooks and have been using them for wacky. Weedguard is a heavy mono and has more of a V bend than round bend and I really like them. They are sharp and I havent had a fish come off that I got a good hookset in to.

1/0 VMC Neko hook has the best hookup ratio there is. Fish stay pinned too.

I need to look into these. I was wacky rigging last night and the o rings I have a bit small and after one fish, basically cut a Max Scent General in half. I would pay more to get a good ring that doesnt ruin baits. I might as well hook right into the stick bait because the I rings were so tight, especially when in an X.

I like using the ryugi talisman personally but I’m open to trying some of the suggestions in here. Does the longer shaft have any effect on the action?

A 5” senko is a lot of plastic in the mouth of the sooted bass here. I want to make sure I’ve got enough book to get through the plastic. I’m using an Eagle Claw circle hook, size 3/0

For both 5” & 6” Senko’s I use Owner 4109 size 1 Wacky Jungle hook.

This isn’t a circle hook! Light weight extremely strong weedless hook.

I love fishing wacky rigs in laydowns and have tried numerous weedless hooks, including some of the good hooks mentioned here. I use the Decoy Cover Finesse HD Worm 220 and can't say enough about how weedless it is. However, I'm going to try the Hayabusa Spin Muscle that @RRocket shared above. That's an intriguing and unique approach to weedlessness that may allow me to get even more aggressive than I've been able to with the excellent Decoy HD.

Bear in mind, the weedless nature of this is only 2 fine, mono guards.

 

I have a feeling the Decoy might be better on heavy cover.
