Super User DitchPanda Posted July 7, 2021 Super User Posted July 7, 2021 So I recently saw a video on these and they claim they are a copy of the old P 70. I never had one but I've heard some guys claim they are magic. Anybody tried the new P 71 yet? Quote
PotatoLake Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 I have and they do indeed have a good catch rate for me. They have a really loud pronounced chug noise. They’re built super sturdy, and they’re bigger than normal pop-rs. I like them quite a bit. Quote

I had one of the old 70's when I first started bass fishing and it was a great bait before a dock killed it, the newer ones just didn't work the same. 1 Quote
Super User Deleted account Posted July 7, 2021 Super User Posted July 7, 2021 The new ones are ok, the originals are way better, but good luck finding some. I'm really liking (rather the fish are) the larger Boss Pop, not as big as the P70, but bigger than the "standard" Pop-R. Sadly (to me) The spook and the WP have been a bit better than poppers last couple of times out. Quote
