Try dropshotting a 3” Keitech swing impact on a size 2 hook with 6 or 7 lb fluoro.

Never thought of dropshotting a swimbait, hmmmmm maybe you could even swim it slowly on bottom?

I usually start off by imparting very subtle action like a more traditional dropshot plastic. If that doesn’t seem to be working I start slowly swimming it or bouncing it until the fish tell me what they want. Some days it works really well some days not at all haha.

If you can find holes and stuff in the grass, pop the rod up instead of down, and it will keep the jerkbait above the grass.  Apparently guys in florida do this on heavy braid, in only a few feet of water.  Wired to fish did a video on this.

I need to pick up a dark sleeper for sure, I do have some buzzbaits which could work in the morning, would totally use a jerkbait if not for the grass,, and finesse jigs could also be worth a try did not think of that. Thanks for these ideas, brainpower being put together is strong!

I would probably try a T-Rig, Senko if they have cover, Ribbon tail worm if the cover is a little more spare, my personal preference. And maybe a jerkbait, drop shot and finesse jig. Or if you're confident or if there is more cover etc, a full size jig.

I’ve thrown a finesse jig on a gin clear reservoir that gets good pressure and done well. I love it in the rocks. If there is riprap, I’m throwing a jig.
