Since Okuma has decided to replace the top half of my two piece Celilo, I need another reel. I have about a $60 budget. I'm currently enjoying my Revros LT2000 but those seem hard to find right now. I'm looking for suggestions. I'm also curious to to know what you all think of reels from KastKing, Piscifun, Cadence, Runcl, Sougayilang, Plussino??

Thanks and have a good one!

I too enjoy an ultralight setup. My current favorite is a shimano sensilite, 6'-6" model paired with a Daiwa Revros LT1000. I realize I said my favorite reel is the one you stated is hard to find! Sorry about that lol

I just checked and Tackle warehouse has 3 LT2000 Revros's in stock.

If you want a micro-sized UL reel in the tradition of Alcedo and Cargem,

the only one made today is Tica Cetus - I have one that fished my salt XUL niche ten years and is still going.

This reel is not going to have the smooth of a Vanford 500, but makes up for it in balls - the little reel above has landed too many big seatrout to count, and a couple of snook.

This is the only good photo I have of a newer one, and this one has been pimped with a fancy Daiwa handle.  Capacity is just right for 2- to 4-lb mono/fluoro, and it has a great ball-bearing line roller.

10-4? Lots of great choices out there, im sure! That Tica @bulldog1935 recommended looks fantastic! I might just have to try one out for myself. Including the 'pimped' out handle!

Okuma Ceymar C-10 would fit the bill.  They can be found within your budget and are pretty light and smooth for a reel in that price range.  I own one and use it with a 6' Celilo, does a great job.

Okuma spinning reels are quality, power, and durability all in one package. That Ceymar comes in a 500 size also. The Tica reel looks good too. The older Pflueger Trion GX7 reels are great reels too. I have and use 3 of them in the 25 size.

Even the newer Trions (2019 model) are solid - I've got a 30 and a 35 that have worked fine for me.

The newest Trions (2020 model) are identifiable by the fact that they don't have a switch to turn the anti-reverse off...I dunno why, but some model reels from other manufacturers are doing the same thing.

I have a whole gaggle of Pfueger Trions and Presidents in the 20 or 25 size that I use on Crappie rods. They aren't the lightest or the smoothest, but they are decent enough, I have been using them for years and have never had an issue with any of them.

I hear you there - my general finesse rig is a President-25 on a Fury 702 and it's been solid and dependable. I could lighten the rig by swapping the Pres with one of my RZT-1000s...but that'd be only 1/2oz savings.

I hear complaints about the Presidents, but I haven't had any issues with mine...so who knows.

I have a Piscifun Carbon x in 1000 size. I really like this reel and highly recommend it. It’s available in a 500 size also. I just checked Amazon they’re right at $60.00.

Missed the pricing point.

That seems like an odd choice, given the OP's ~$60 budget constraint.  That said, the Shimano Vanford is a much better and lighter option in the approximate price range you are recommending.

I'm a little nervous about trying a 500 or 1000 sized reel. A 2000 sized reel sometimes feel cumbersome for my big hands. Maybe I'm just not quite to using it since I just started fishing UL this year.

I picked up a Shimano Sedona on sale at Academy for just a couple bucks over your budget. It's a 1000 size reel and feels closer to a 2000 than a 500: I don't care for tiny reels and it is perfect on my UL rods. Worth stretching the budget a little for, IMO.

I have a 500/1000/2000 Vanfords and 1000/2000 Stellas.  The difference between the 1000/2000 form factors in Shimano reels seems to be mostly in the spool size as the body sizes are very similar.  The 500 form factor is notably smaller.
