Ski Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 The St Johns Bass Anglers 2021 Night Tournament is in the (record) books! What a night. In our 51 years of existence, no one has ever weighed in a limit of bass that even comes close to what was caught Saturday night. When Mr. Pat Lanier is on Kingsley Lake, he’s always the club favorite to win, and win he did! His first fish of the night was 10.5 pounds. His second fish was his new personal best - 13.25 pounds! About twenty minutes later, he landed a 9.4 pound beauty. Number four was an 8.4 pounder. All on the same Shimano reel, which we assume now needs new drag washers. He rounded out his limit with a 1.1 pound future giant. Pat was quick to applaud Phil, his co-angler and net man who was instrumental in getting these fish in the boat. Pat’s total: 42.31 pounds. Every fish was immediately measured, documented, and safely released. Here is your Top Five: Pat Lanier 42.31- 13.25 & 10.5, 1st and 2nd Big Fish Evan French 14.56 Matt Bounce 11.06 Kevin Hanson 9.13 Buzz Broughton 8.56 12 Quote

hokiehunter373 Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 Man, you'd think you'd be able to get a smile out of him. Must have been quite unhappy with that 1.1 lol 1 1 Quote
Super User Tennessee Boy Posted June 30, 2021 Super User Posted June 30, 2021 I would say that qualifies as a good night. 1 Quote
Super User Team9nine Posted June 30, 2021 Super User Posted June 30, 2021 I would have just released the 1.1 lb fish and not brought it in. If you can’t win with 4 for 41, it just wasn’t meant to be ? The little guy adds nothing of value to that stringer. Is this the same lake Wheeler and Connell crushed a similar sized bag a few weeks back in a weeknight derby? 2 2 Quote

I wouldn't be able to keep fishing after catching the first one, I'd have been a wreck. 1 1 Quote

CountryboyinDC Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 Pat looks stoic. I'd have been grinning like a jackass eating green briers. 1 Quote
