So tough!  Managed one decent fish and lots of tiny aquarium sized ones. So tough.

Coupled with simply ME being hot, the wind, etc.  I’m finding them on my FF deeper.  In deep submerged trees but getting them to bite is tough.

tough.   You all doing well?

Following the post spawn seasonal period bass transition into their summer warm water period. The summer period coincides with abundant young of the year fish and Threadfin Shad populations. Terrestrial critters and frog populations plus crawdad population are all available.

We the anglers are trying to compete with artificial lures vs the real prey sources. Warmer water increases feeding activity so it becomes a timing and location issue hunting for active bass vs suspended inactive bass.

When the bite is it’s on, when it’s not tough fishing. Every lake being different you need to put in your time to determine what the bass want and where.

We are now in the middle of a full moon cycle, the bass can feed all night so you should be fishing then.

I just got back from a Sunday to Saturday camping trip and I caught two fish, my oldest son caught one and my youngest son didn't get any, so I'm feeling you right now.

What's even worse is we were getting bites pitching and flipping brush piles and laydowns, and lots of them. And in deeper areas, we found the fish, suspended down about 15 feet but we weren't able to put a bait in front of them for very long due to lack of ability to anchor in deep water plus some pretty heavy winds.

For reference last year I recall catching five fish in a day and missing two and that's all the fish I missed that entire week and we made it out everyday, this trip we only made it out three days because of the weather and I missed more fish than I missed probably the entire past two years. It's rather frustrating, I don't think I'm doing anything all that wrong.

All around it was a really fun trip nonetheless, but my confidence is shot.

I haven't been having any issues but we're not in a drought like a lot of other places so that might be making a difference.

Yesterday I got one bass and a bunch of aquarium sized dinks. On par with my low numbers days. :(

still pretty happy about my slow day.

It's been slow here for the past few weeks, but I am thinking it's because of the heat.  Later this week we are supposed to cool down so maybe by the weekend my numbers will be back up.

It’s hard when your not having any luck especially when your time is limited to be on the water. If I can get out 1 time per week I’m doing good  and if I can cut any bank fishing in before work or at lunch in still limited to the amount of time I have to trying different spots and different baits  so far I’m 3 fish for 5 trips out with my boat and nothing on the banks  but have faith and keep trying a bad day on the water is still better then a good day at work

I’m catching bass. My sizes and numbers have been sucking but I believe the nice one is coming. I lost a heck of a nice fish last season. We made eye to eye contact and he was bigger than my personal best. I believe it could have been over 7 lb. Decent PA largemouth. I’m fishing the area I lost him. And continue to get some casts through that spot when I’m out.

Couple the drought we are in with the already tough postspawn conditions and its been rough. However a change in tactics the past week have changed things. There are always a few bass up shallow so I haven't really been skunked but they are usually drinks and lots of trips I only catch 2. The past few trips I've targeted some offshore brush I can cast to because of the low water..managed to catch a 2.5 and a 3.5...by far my best fish of the past month. As we head into July we should get an early morning bite here with the bass chasing balls of shad early. Usually only lasts an hour or two every morning but its usually good for 3-5 nice fish...a 4+ is not uncommon.
