Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted June 23, 2021 Global Moderator Posted June 23, 2021 Homemade bladed jig. I look forward to the spring jerkbait bite with great anticipation every winter too though. 1 Quote
Super User Columbia Craw Posted June 23, 2021 Super User Posted June 23, 2021 As Whimpy used to say to Popeye, “I would gladly pay you Tuesday for a Deep Little N today.” 2 Quote
WVU-SCPA Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 The last couple years I find myself always having some type of swimbait on a flashy swimmer. Allows me to change depths, speed, and cadence without changing out a lure. I'm a real sucker for a good chatterbait bite, wish the fish always were too. 1 Quote
Super User the reel ess Posted June 23, 2021 Super User Posted June 23, 2021 All of them. But I do tend to shy away from deep cranks as I fish mostly shallow, weedy places. My favorite way to catch a fish is on a topwater. Sometimes I ahve 4 rods rigged with topwaters when I start out. I'll usually replace the buzzbait with a spinnerbait and one of the hard baits with a lipless crank or some other bait as the sun gets higher. 1 Quote

Oh yeah topwaters are real fun, I love spooks and tiny poppers On my spinning rod ? 12 hours ago, Bluebasser86 said: Homemade bladed jig. That's so cool! 2 hours ago, WVU-SCPA said: The last couple years I find myself always having some type of swimbait on a flashy swimmer. Chatterbaits are fun, I love baits that do a little thump and bump on my rod lol Quote
Kenny Yi Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 Swim Jig fished fast above grass, love shaking it over that grass and seeing the big green flash as the jig disappears then setting the hook. Quote

Yes, it works awesome, try it ya'll. The swimming action created by that tail makes it look very real. Thank you for reminding me of this. 1 Quote
TheBasslayer Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 Either a jerkbait or a paddle tail swimbait for me. Quote
