Homemade bladed jig.

I look forward to the spring jerkbait bite with great anticipation every winter too though.

The last couple years I find myself always having some type of swimbait on a flashy swimmer.  Allows me to change depths, speed, and cadence without changing out a lure.

I'm a real sucker for a good chatterbait bite, wish the fish always were too.

All of them. But I do tend to shy away from deep cranks as I fish mostly shallow, weedy places. My favorite way to catch a fish is on a topwater. Sometimes I ahve 4 rods rigged with topwaters when I start out. I'll usually replace the buzzbait with a spinnerbait and one of the hard baits with a lipless crank or some other bait as the sun gets higher.

I would have thought Cloud 9

With my style of fishing, a cloud 9 C15 is my favorite for sure!  But for fishing shallow like most of these guys that movement is hard to beat.

Chatterbaits are fun, I love baits that do a little thump and bump on my rod lol

Swim Jig fished fast above grass, love shaking it over that grass and seeing the big green flash as the jig disappears then setting the hook.

Can't believe I forgot about that. Yes, it works awesome, try it ya'll. The swimming action created by that tail makes it look very real. Thank you for reminding me of this.
