I've heard positive things and the price is right I actually haven’t seen that one I’ll look it up. Thanks a ton I do love Daiwa lol 1 hour ago, WRB said: IROD IRG754F Gen 3. $149 Tom Do you by chance know the weight on the rod? I’ve been looking at Irod but can’t find weight details. 5 hours ago, GetFishorDieTryin said: The 7'4 H F Omen Black is a nice H action rod that doesn't feel like a pool cue and isn't tip heavy. The yak version has a shorter handle by a couple inches. If handle length isnt an issue and you dont mind spending a few more $ the 7'4 Victory would be good too. I have the Omen Black Gen 3 spinning rod and I absolutely love it. I was trying to find weight specs on the casting rod but couldn’t find anything. Maybe I should just message them. Quote
Super User WRB Posted June 23, 2021 Super User Posted June 23, 2021 Contact IROD owner Mat Newman for specific weight. Sold nearly all my fishing tackle last year or I would weigh it for you. Tom 1 Quote

The balance on the 7'4 H F probably weighs about 5oz or a little less. The rod isnt tip heavy and balances well, so as long as you have a reel that isn't too light its not going to feel tip heavy like the SLX's. 1 Quote
Super User the reel ess Posted June 24, 2021 Super User Posted June 24, 2021 Falcon Bucoo "Super Duty" 7'5" Hvy/X Fast. $109. But it can probably be found cheaper if you shop around. I have their pitching stick and it's the lightest rod I own. This is not a technique that requires a very expensive, very sensitive rod. Just the right action and light weight. https://shop.falconrods.com/collections/falcon-bucoo-sr-series/products/bucoo-sr-super-duty-brc-8-175?variant=13585160437860 Quote
MidwestBassAttack Posted June 26, 2021 Posted June 26, 2021 Anything that has Falcon and Amistad in the description of course! Champion XP 735 is another solid contender. 1 Quote

We’ll see if it snaps on first cast or not tomorrow haha Quote
