Super User 5bass Posted November 1, 2009 Super User Posted November 1, 2009 I agree. I'd get a Raker. I've always used Raker's on any OMC motors I've owned. If it didnt come with a Raker, I bought one for it. The Shooter is a good prop but it wont do all that a Raker will do. Bow lift is a crucial factor when trying to get speed. Quote
quanjig Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Very nice get. Super clean. Please keep me in mind if you do decide to replace that TM. Those beauties run forever and are pretty near bulletproof! Quote

devinjm Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 dude i dont care how old it is. or how "new to you" it is. thats a really nice boat. Mike Iaconelli would be proud of that boat Quote
Super User South FLA Posted December 22, 2009 Super User Posted December 22, 2009 Dude, you got a great boat at an even better price. Don't you love it when people take care of their stuff and sell it? Quote
Strike King Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 shes a keeper! roughly what was the cost? Quote
Bigs Posted December 30, 2009 Author Posted December 30, 2009 wow I didnt realize my thread was still alive. The cost was 5300 bux, he wanted 6 grand. I could have spent a lil more and gotten something newer but this was in better shape then the mid 90's stratos I looked at. I test drove this boat in some choppy water on the james river, mind you it was my first time actually drivin a big fiberglass bassboat and it was flawless. Couldnt ask for a better ride for the money. I admit goin low 60's mph gets old fast but for now it will do. I just bought 3 loomis glx rods tonite and a steez last week so that jackplate and prop will have to wait till march or april. I am having an 8 foot pro model power pole installed tho soon. Just dont know how its gonna work out with no jackplate on the boat since thats where it gets installed. Its sittin in my garage under the sumbrella cover I got for it , havent taken it out in a month. Im actually bout to buy a small plastic pond bass boat like a bass raider or pond prowler to focus on smaller bodies of water over the winter. Quote

Powerpole sells an adapter bracket that attaches to the jackplate or you can mount it directly to the hull. I have mine mounted to the jackplate since I didn't want to drill my hull. Always wondered steve, do you go by speedo mph or GPS? most speedos on the water are anything but accurate Quote
Bigs Posted January 2, 2010 Author Posted January 2, 2010 my gps shows speed, I dont even pay attention to the speedometer. When you, me and Tammy were in my boat we were doin 61.5 mph and that was thru 2 foot chop and a dozen rods n reels plus all of our tackle. Not too shabby but def not a speed demon. I'll be satisfied when I can go high 60's which still isnt blazing fast but enough to run n gun all day. Quote
