I don't get it. I placed an order today, all items were showing as in stock and I get an estimated shipping date of 7/9... That's 3 weeks away. I realize covid had a lot of stuff messed up, but we're thankfully getting past that.

What on earth could be going on that'd cause the time to pull an order, box an order, charge my card, slap on a shipping label and send that order out the door, to take 3 weeks?

Freaking chickens are grown quicker. I could have kfc grow me a 20 piece extra crispy meal from scratch in faster time. Okay, well maybe not a 20 piece, but they could probably do a 10 piece in that time.

Discussed ad-nauseum already.

California's draconian COVID-19 response is the culprit. TW is down staff and they're handling the 'express orders' first...the more express orders that come in, the further back the regular orders get shifted.

That 'estimated' date could change and get further out between now and then.

I just gave up and did my orders from Scheels and FishUSA...they get their orders out VERY quickly.

My apologies. I took a hiatus and I haven't visited BR in some time.

It's frustrating because they have a great selection and prices.

No harm, no foul...just sayin'

Between the two I mentioned and Fleet Farm I can find just about everything I need...usually at even better prices than TW - especially Fleet Farm.

I don't even look at TW's site lately...

yeah its californias covid nonsense. not their fault. theyre only allowed so many pickers etc. i just ordered an expride from them, will take 3 weeks. i would have ordered somewhere else but nobody had it. and since i have rods i can use in the mean time i didnt pay for expidited shipping.

I always pay for shipping and my orders arrive in a timely manner.  I have no complaints with tackle warehouse.    They still have one of the best selections of tackle anywhere.

I’ve yet to have an issue. My last order (Dobyns rod) came from their Atlanta warehouse.

Honestly if you can’t wait for a certain lure then you’re behind the 8-ball or you’re investing too much on the ‘hottest new lure’.

Honestly, I don't think it's really your place to say why someone should/shouldn't be patient without knowing anything about them.

Fair enough.

Why the impatience?

I've been dealing with pain in my right arm since March that's kept me from fishing. I had a steroid injection in my neck to alleviate it and since three days after the injection it's steadily been getting worse again.

Herniated c5 which is pinching the nerve in my right arm

I want to enjoy it while I can. I'm not sure if I'm going to get many more chances this year. I'm not blaming TW for that... It was just an observation that I thought was a bit ridiculous. I ended up ordering my stuff... Mostly zman plastics from a couple ebay sellers

I sympathize with your pain . My wife has five ruptured disks (going to see a neurosurgeon in a month) which causes constant pain and numbness in her legs.

I still don’t understand your impatience though.

Waiting for my favorite line from the powers that be, “ And scene!”   I don’t know why I like that one so much.

It's been going on for some time. When a nerve shuts down, so does that muscle group. It's kind of pathetic, but a 15" bass gave me a tough fight with the loss of strength and the pain from the injury

We’re starting to get out of a global pandemic the world hasn’t seen in 100 years. I drive by car dealerships and they’re virtually empty, our local speed shop is empty, I’ve never seen that in 37 years, you go through a drive through and they’re out of most chicken, boat manufacturers were sold out a month into the new year, new construction houses cost $25-35k more because lumber prices are astronomical, hell what usually takes me 2 weeks to get the annoying utility flags everyone hates in their yard now takes me 6 weeks to get. It is what it is at this point in time.

First world problems.

Anyone here ever had to wait in a gas line with a six gallon maximum?

Have you?

I'm guessing you're going to tell me, so it relates to the situation I'm voicing my opinion about, is that they had plenty of gas but there wasn't enough people to sell it.

I can understand a gas shortage.

I can't understand how a company can have product on the shelf and not be capable of making a sale. I don't care who you point the finger at, it's idiotic.

I'm not trying to beat a dead horse, but people keep directing things at me so that's why I keep responding. Give me the chance and I'll drop it.

Just shop elsewhere, show TW they need to do better by taking your business somewhere else. Pretty simple.

Thanks, that's exactly what I did.

Hopefully some day they'll get their act together and I can shop there again. Right now they're a great site for stocking stuffers.

Good deal! Until they notice a loss in their bottomline, they won't see any reason to change.

Better order in August to get them in time for Christmas. :)

I've ordered from them numerous times, never did I expect a 3 week delay. I guess I'm ignorant in that regard, so it wasn't expected.

Can anyone give me another "for instance" of a similar warehouse issue? One where they have product on the shelf, but they can not get the product out the door because of warehouse restrictions (limited amount of order pickers within the warehouse) that delays orders a minimum of 3 weeks?
