NavyVet1204 Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 BPS ribbon tail worm in Red Bloodline. This thing caught the biggest bass for me this morning at three pounds and made a believer out of me for the brand. Culprit normally holds the crown in ribbon tails for me, but I figured it was a good time to try the BPS brand out because I have had them in my bag forever and sure nuff it got the job done. Definitely going to experiment more with them. Quote

Hook2Jaw Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 The Strike King 3XD. I just ordered a Tatula XT MLR ¼-⅝ and new Tatula Elite 6.3:1 to cast it further. I hope it's not too lightly powered for the bait. 1 Quote

papajoe222 Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 If you're asking about a brand of lure it'd be a Zoom Mag II worm. It's a little longer and fatter than my favorite Original Culprit and fills that slot between a 6in. and 13in. worm. I also like their junebug red color and the fact that they come 20 to a pack. 1 Quote
Super User DitchPanda Posted June 17, 2021 Super User Posted June 17, 2021 Nothing so far this year. Last year it was super shallow cranks...kvd 1.5 shallow and strike king 1xs. Also got into flukes last year. 1 Quote
TheBasslayer Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 A Strike King 2.5 Wakebait, which caught my PB and some more fish, so it made me a believer in the wakebait! 1 Quote
Happybeerbuzz Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 A soft bluegill style swim bait is in transit at the moment. I deserved a little more for Father’s Day. 1 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted June 17, 2021 Global Moderator Posted June 17, 2021 Black Dog Shellcracker I've seen them a lot in pictures but it's always just been "another wakebait", in my mind. I finally gave in to the hype and bought one. The thing flat out gets bit and works so slow, has a little ticking noise, is a nice size, and now I have 2 of them ? 1 1 Quote
HaydenS Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 Jerkbait and a spinnerbait this spring/winter. Nothing like that jerkbait bite, it's a deadly lure. I used to think a spinnerbait was the dumbest thing compared to a chatterbait and such. Caught some decent fish on it this spring, and I became a believer. 2 Quote
Smells like fish Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 I’m liking the Berkley Max Scent King Worm. 8” long, has a bulky build and a ribbed body. I use a purplish color and it has been great on a Texas rig. I have confidence in its scent and the plastic these are made of is not a shiny type but more of a realistic living creature look to it. 1 Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted June 17, 2021 Global Moderator Posted June 17, 2021 So far it been a Sexy Dog. I‘be been using a Super Spook for longer than I can remember and never thought of using anything else until I tried it. Mike 1 Quote
moguy1973 Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 I was looking through my tackle box for something I hadn't ever used before and found a Boyd Duckett BD Shad I had gotten in a mystery box a few years ago. I'd never really thrown it and the pond I was in has a lot of small baitfish about the size the lure is. First cast I caught a fish. I used it the rest of the weekend and caught several others. The action of the jointed hard swimbaits is just amazing and is something I'll be using more and more. Quote
Super User gim Posted June 17, 2021 Super User Posted June 17, 2021 Neko Rig. I am normally a wacky rig guy because I am generally fishing it in shallower waters but when you stick that nail weight in there, it gets down much deeper at a faster rate. 1 Quote
softwateronly Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 3/4 - 1oz scrounger head w/ a jerky j, hogfarmer spunk shad, and Scottsboro sniper shad It's given me a lot more offshore options for locating some bigger summer bass. Its still new to me, but have already pulled fish from 12' - 30' of water. scott 2 Quote

Luke Barnes Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 Wacky rig. This is the first year ive have committed to using it more and caught my first fish on it and didnt stop there. All were caught on a Gambler Ace in GP. But I just got two packs of Max Scent Generals in two different colors to try out. 1 Quote
TriStateBassin106 Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 Culprit ribbontail worm in Grape shad, awesome color and action and will catch fish both big and small. Crazy thing is I haven't caught a ribbontail fish since 2008. That streak ended this year! 1 Quote
