Hey Everyone!

I think it is time to upgrade for me. I am looking at a Triton TRX19 or TRX 20. I know boat prices are going crazy, but I wanted to get your input on a price for my boat with the upgrades. I fish this boat in tournaments every month, and take it out probably 3 weekends out of the month. No real motor issues,  (probably could use a carb adjustment on low end, but nothing that is crazy). In my area I am seeing mid 90's boats with no upgrades going for $7,500 with a running motor depending on length of course. What do you think I should list it for locally, or what do you think as far as trade in value?

1997 Triton TR-17 with original trailer

1997 Mariner 115

Everything works as it is designed

Upgrades:

Extended front casting deck

80lb Thrust 45'' Ultrex (3 months old)

3 Lowrance HDS 7 Gen 2 Touch (1 console 2 bow...Networked between console and 1 of the bow units)

LED lights in the hatches and deck light

USB outlet hardwired in

Boat plug switch

3 new batteries

Nice clean boat.  You’re going to have to get some motor details like hours and compression to get a good idea.  With what you’ve said your usage is, I would imagine there is some hours on the motor.  That can be countered by compression numbers.

I have not tested the compression yet this year, but were all good across the board last year at 134 and 133.

I think 10K is the ballpark here from what I am seeing going around me locally. I mean the electronics and trolling motor is eating about 1/3 or more of the 10K

Does the trailer have folding tongue and newer tires then ‘98?

The fact it’s clean and a garaged boat is a big selling factor.

If the TM has spot lock feature, note it.

The Mariner OB is a minus for selling value, it is what it Is!

Good entry level bass boat with good  storage for 17’6” boat.

My TR-175 2005 w/ 115 Opitmax (52 hrs) sold for $12K, garaged and in excellent condition, $10K is a little high imo.

10 years ago here that wasn't a $10k boat without the graphs...but in today's market it may sell. I'd list it under for that reason and see what happens.  $9400 is an emotional number that is WAY better than 10.

Yea I am hoping with electronics, the Ultrex, and the good performance the boat has will warrant somewhere near 10K.

Personally, I'd list it for $12K and see if anyone wants to deal from there. Your TM is top of the line, and the graphs aren't outdated. Cosmetically it looks fantastic, and if the engine checks out good someone will be interested IMO. Another option is trying to sell it without the Ultrex and graphs and moving them onto your next rig. Some people buying their first boat only look at the initial cash outlay, and don't realize how much the peripherals are worth.

Yea this is what I was thinking.

I listed at 10K because I am comfortable with selling it for 9.5, or 10K. I know I will get some people haggling, but my boat I am going for is on the lot waiting for me and I do not want to wait too long. I have another derby in 2 weeks!

With the way the market is right now I think your right in a sweet spot with $10k. Maybe $9600 sounds better but that boat looks clean and is well equipped. Good luck on a quick sale.

You can always come down on the price if you don't have any interest. List it and see what happens. It's a nicely equiped boat that seems to be in good cosmetic and mechanical condition. Also, if you have maintenance records, that helps. Good luck.

I have about 5 people interested in the boat at this point. 1 coming to look tonight. The lowest offer so far as been $8500.

I think it will be gone before the weekend hits.
