Abby Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Got out today for a couple hours in the kayak. Tried a Ned rig for the first time and boated 3 nice keepers in about 30 minutes....Nothing else was working. 3 Quote
Super User islandbass Posted June 16, 2021 Super User Posted June 16, 2021 That is awesome. I caught a bass with the bed rig on my first cast with it. It was awesome. I only had about 15 minutes to fish so it was a great feeling. Unfortunately, I misplaced my ned rig stuff. I need to find it. Quote
ironbjorn Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Try "pop" or "yo-yo" swimming it on a medium retrieve if you haven't. They can't resist. 3 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted June 16, 2021 Global Moderator Posted June 16, 2021 I use the "swim/shake/glide" retrieve almost all the time. My bait rarely stops moving and rarely touches the bottom. 4 Quote
MGF Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 Sunday on the river I casted my arm off working all the right cover with all the right stuff in all the right ways. The accuracy and slickness of my casting and skipping was a sight to behold. The only problem is that I didn't catch much. While I worked my wife was just dragged a ned rig behind the boat and in the middle of the river and caught the heck out of them. LOL 1 1 Quote
KP Duty Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 Im newer to the ned, but charlie brewers slider worm has been a staple for look over 25 years for me. Not sure why the slider never became a tackle box staple like the ned is now. Quote
