If Blue was closer I'd let him take my Commander for it, since it's more like a canoe than a kayak. I’m sure a canoe would basically be a sailboat in Kansas anyway. I might actually enter some tournaments if they allowed canoes. Or maybe I could use the fiancé’s kayak, mine would all get laughed out of the competition Quote

It blew over my air conditioner condenser and tore up my shingles. 1 Quote

Somebody asked me what I'd do if a snake fell in the kayak. I said I'd scream like a girl and go swimming. Then I'd get a change of underwear. 1 Quote
Super User Koz Posted June 22, 2021 Super User Posted June 22, 2021 My kayak came with some rod tip protectors mounted forward of the tracks. But those seem useless because when you lay the rods down the seat is in the way of keeping the rods inside the hull. I suppose I could add some rod clips but I'd still be worried they would slip off and end up dragging in the water. I suppose the best solution would be to try and screw in some clips just behind the seat and snap the butt end of the rods in there. Quote

Saw a few more but that one was the only one that thought he was getting a free ride with me. All my rods survived the day, only had one even touch a tree on the way by. Others weren't so lucky. Another guy broke a rod and another broke his rudder ?. I lost way too many good fish and ended up in 7th or 8th out of 20 something people. 1st was an amazing 98+ inch bag. 2 Quote

In Vietnam there are hot humid jungles that grow things to crazy proportions. Giant centipedes as seen in the photo. I walked into a spider web one day and there was a spider on it that covered my entire face! I about knocked myself out slapping that thing off ~I still get the wholly-buggers just thinking about it. There was a "saying" in Nam that Vietnam has over 100 species of snake that will poison you and the one snake that's not poisonous will crush you to death. Bees big enough to throw a saddle on. Scorpions out of a horror movie. Lizards as big as a juvenile alligator that would chase you and 18 foot long salt waters crocs, to name a few. Not to mention lizards that shout invectives at you (I used to own one). Quote
