Old Hank pulled it off twice in a row. Congrats on a second classic win

In all sincerity, Hank Cherry is a worthy two-time champion, without question. Still, I found myself pulling for Matt Arey to pull it off.

I think Matt Robertson will eventually have his day. He is the real deal and so much fun. Imagine the heads that would explode if he won the Classic fishing Ugly Stik rods. . . . . I would include my own head in that TBH.

I still feel bad for Hank from the first Classic on Grand, losing that monster the last day that might have give him enough to overtake Cliff Pace. He's had continued success though, proving he's not a flash in the pan and deserving of the back to back trophies.

Congrats to Hank. Back-to-back championships is an incredible feat.

But I need to give a shout out to my buddy Justin Kerr for taking 4th in his first Classic appearance.  It's been a long, hard road buddy, and you showed the world you belong there.  Well done!

Out of 50+ anglers in the Bassmaster Classic,  Matt Robertson still placed 7th using Ugly Stik rods... heads should be exploding

Does he actually use them during competition ? I laughed at that goof ball when he went to the weigh-in sleeveless , did the Stone Cold Steve Austin thing then the interview . Hes a comedian .

Congrats to Hank Cherry with back to back wins . Next year he will be gunning for the threepeat .

The Ugly Stick Carbon Rods are a long ways from a standard Ugly Stick. They're legit bass rods.

Congrats Hank! I met him at the expo in the 2019 classic, he said that hopefully he would be fishing the classic in 2020 instead of working the expo. Well by gosh he won that one and the next, very impressive!

He put up a good fight!

Grats to Hank Cherry. Just like last year, he came back with a late showing to pull it off.

Honestly, I doubt he would have his back to back wins if he got that fish. Back in 2013 was like a slap in the face saying hey you're almost there and helped turn him into the angler he is today.

Makes me feel better.  I bought an Ugly Stik and as soon as I pulled it out of the tube, I felt like I had made a mistake.  However it does seem like a decent bludgeoning weapon if hordes of pan-fishermen attack me.

i may be one of the very few on this forum whom uses the ugly stick carbon 6-6 and 7 spinning. I find it very comfortable and matched with the pflueger president xt and a superior reel which are both light reels i can manuever those setups with no fatigue from casting, jerking and walking.

A couple weeks ago i broke out the old 7 foot gx2 ugly stick and that heavy rod wore me out casting and doing the above. The carbon 6-6 and 7 can outcast the gx2  6-6 and 7. The reason i busted out the old rod was for distance that day but it wasnt getting the distance using same lures as the new carbon rods were getting. I love me some ugly.

I have 3 Ugly Stick Lite spinning rods that I use pretty often. They're mostly catfish/wiper rods, but I've used them for bass and they'll get the job down, way better than the original Ugly Stick. I've held a couple of the Carbons, I'd fish one without any hesitation.

Watching Hank fish a jerkbait is mesmerizing. His cadence is so smooth. Congrats to him
