Guess they had to find a way to get Vanderbilt in. The NCAA should be ashamed and embarrassed. Everytime I think they can't screw things up any more, they say "hold my beer and watch this".

I feel bad for the players of NC State, but they could have avoided this problem too.

This isn’t the first time it’s happened and won’t be the last. Each and every player and coach know the rules involved with playing during COVID.

I can assure you it will happen again this fall in both college new professional sports.

Could have been avoided? Four of the six players who tested positive were vaccinated. These same players could go in tonight and sit with 20,000 other fans, but they couldn't play in a game?  I'm sorry, but if you dont think the NCAA is a joke at this point, nothing I can say will change your mind.

People arent actually even using their mind these days.

The outbreak started because of the 2 of those 6 who weren’t. Could it have started with someone else? Sure. But it didn’t. Those two players made a personal choice and now they have to deal with the outcome.

I do agree that the NCAA has made some awful decisions over the years in many different sports but rules are rules and you can’t just make an exception for one team.

The Diamond Vols are headed back to the college World Series!!! This will be our first trip to Omaha since 2005, lots of folks should be in the stands wearing orange.

One thing that makes it even sweeter..........

if any of y’all follow SEC sports, you may have noticed that Tennessee has had a constant thorn in its side in all sports since around 2001: none other than @Sam’s alma matter LSU. In all sports, it seems they rain on our parade every single time for a long time. Well of course the obstacle standing in our way at the super regionals is none other than the bayou bengals, with a legendary coach set to retire at the end of the season.  We had already swept them in Knoxville earlier this season (they thought our fans were too rowdy that series at 20% covid capacity, I’ll take that compliment) but history seems to indicate they would be able to rain on our parade yet again. Well last night we squeaked out a nice 4-2 victory and today our bats came alive with home runs flying out of the park in all directions. It sure feels good to pull a thorn out of our collective side that’s been stuck in there for a couple decades!!!

Dang. I thought the Gators were your thorn in the side ?

Good games.

Nice to see State finally win a team national championship.

I must say that there are some outstanding ball players on the CWS teams this year and throughout the SEC, ACC, and in the state of Texas.
