College World Series

The Diamond Vols are headed back to the college World Series!!! This will be our first trip to Omaha since 2005, lots of folks should be in the stands wearing orange. 
 

One thing that makes it even sweeter..........

if any of y’all follow SEC sports, you may have noticed that Tennessee has had a constant thorn in its side in all sports since around 2001: none other than @Sam’s alma matter LSU. In all sports, it seems they rain on our parade every single time for a long time. Well of course the obstacle standing in our way at the super regionals is none other than the bayou bengals, with a legendary coach set to retire at the end of the season.  We had already swept them in Knoxville earlier this season (they thought our fans were too rowdy that series at 20% covid capacity, I’ll take that compliment) but history seems to indicate they would be able to rain on our parade yet again. Well last night we squeaked out a nice 4-2 victory and today our bats came alive with home runs flying out of the park in all directions. It sure feels good to pull a thorn out of our collective side that’s been stuck in there for a couple decades!!!

I didn’t wanna comment on this yesterday bc my team was still battling and clinched the final spot in the CWS tonight against ND. Congrats to the Vols, y’all are looking mighty strong.

I'm not a Tenn or Miss St fan, but after reading all of the Razorback chatter on different forums, I was just glad to see them fall short.

The Vols look good and we will be yelling and screaming for them like we do for the Fighting Tigers.

 

Looking for a Vandy-Tennessee final.

Not necessarily a  State fan but, being from MS, they're my pick, followed by the Vols or Vandy.  People better watch out or NC State and Arizona.

Go 'Pack! As a lifelong N. C. State fan going to the cws is a tremendous accomplishment,  especially  since we started the season 1-8.

I'm a HUGE Tennessee Vols fan, currently in exile in Arkansas. I'm really proud of the diamond Vols and how the program has been turned around, sorry @Sam. Now, let's get Big Orange football headed in the right direction for a change!

I stopped following as soon as South Carolina was eliminated. Following teh Gamecocks this year was like riding a roller coaster.

 

That being said, Vanderbilt is going to be tough with Leiter and Rocker at the top of the rotation.

A great season for us unfortunately ends, texas hitting that 3 run homer ended up being the difference. We also couldn’t figure out that reliever, he had some good stuff

Well I was pulling for the Vols, hated to see them lose. I don't want Texas to ever win at anything. I am not one of those "cheer for the conference" guys. LOL

Yeah I’m hoping vandy goes down tomorrow or whenever they play. When it comes to Miss st, I won’t root against them, just watch and enjoy regardless of outcome . I guess I’m a Wolfpack fan for the rest of it!
