Fishbone Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 A boat yard ordered a "U" bracket, for me, that will be bolted to my transom for mounting a small outboard engine. This will be mounted to the port side of the main engine and used for hp restricted lakes and trolling. It seems straight forward. Are there any gotchas or heads-up I should be aware of? This is on a 17' tin boat. Quote

Super User Lund Explorer Posted December 24, 2009 Super User Posted December 24, 2009 Just another option to a tiller extension, is to use a connector rod that attaches to your main outboard. This way, you can use your steering wheel. Cabelas has them. Look under Boating / Outboard Accessories. Quote
