Seems some guys are getting on em at Lake Chickamauga.

Shin was using an interesting swimbait, kind of looks like a fluke, but a little better.

See attached picture. Anyone know what it is? He said this technique sometimes takes 5 minutes per cast, using it for suspended bass.

See the bait on the deck.

I am not sure what it is, but he sure is tearing them up today! It will be an exciting last couple of days of this tournament for sure.

Thats not a yamamoto bait, I know of.

He was shaking the bait while slowly winding it at a specific depth.

Tiny bait caught a couple of 6's and a 7. that was a masterclass out there

I'm almost wondering if it was the Duo Realis Nomase Wakasagi

Being from Japan, he may have baits we have never heard of or seen!!

FYI , I am REALLY digging the new feature they have where you can see all the catch data, including lure, depth, area, etc.

Of course it doesn't give the exact bait name, but rather the bait type.

Still pretty cool!!

They are all whipping on the bass down there, just some more than others!  I was down there a couple weeks ago and they were in transition and were hard to figure out.  I am guessing I should have waited a little longer to go!  Haha. Our guide said he thought the fish were behind because of the goofy weather earlier in the year!

What a tournament.  Very fun to watch.  Tomorrow should be very interesting.

Tomorrow should be a classic Tennessee River ledge fishing tournament.   I’m a fan of Jason Lambert.  He’s kind of been a one trick pony and this type of fishing is his one trick.  If he doesn’t do well tomorrow,  I doubt if he’ll be back on the tour next year.   You have to think Wheeler is the favorite.  It’s his adopted home lake.  Kevin VanDam has always been strong on Tennessee River ledges and he’s arguably the GOAT.  Jordan Lee is a freak.   He can catch fish anywhere.  They’re supposed to being pulling a lot of current tomorrow.   It might take 100 lbs to win.

Yeah, this was a back and forth battle all day.

KVD stopped playing

His poor official should have just kept standing,

he looked like a weeble wooble bouncing back up as soon as he sat down

After what he did yesterday on that one school, I knew that if he found one or two schools today he was going to blow the others out of the water.

Go KVD!

I forgot about it. Turned it on a couple minutes before the end of the second period when everybody was all bunched up with 30-odd pound totals.

Did a little more work, then I looked back up and dude doubled the field.

Cranking?

Yes KVD cranking a ledge. Said it's not good to graph over fish in 10-12 ft, they will scatter from the boat noise.

Shin talked about the technique he was using this morning.  They also talked about it on BTL yesterday.  Sounds like it was a neko rig being fished at a certain depth for suspending bass.

Lambert is rising, but he's snagged two big ones in the side. Not even the side of the mouth, but the side of the body. Reading the rules, I guess those count because he wasn't 'visually' fishing for them. I'm not sure how I feel about this...

Lambert said if you ever see him by the shoreline, stop cuz that means he's broke down. ?

Dude, lives out there on the ledges

They need to check Wheeler's last fish on the instant replay.  Man that was close.

It was a great tournament.

He caught a 5 lber  that moved him up to second.  He rushed it in and got it in the boat with maybe 2 seconds to spare.  He got a fish landing violation but it didn't matter.

it’s funny, you hear people all the time say they fished a weekday and there’s still bass boats everywhere, leading them to always make the comment “doesn’t anybody work anymore?” I always reply “well you clearly  weren’t at work either” hahana
