I have some spot, but they're not secret.  It's more about knowing how to fish them.

I have a number of honey holes, and I don't protect them very well, I have taken people directly to them and pointed at the place where the big fish will inevitably be caught, and most of the time they still can't read the conditions well enough to pick a presentation that will get them bit by a good fish, so I really don't worry too much about it out here, if I were in an area with more people that actually put effort into bass fishing I might be a bit more cautious, but that's not really a concern out here, they are all either after trout, steelhead, salmon, sturgeon catfish or walleye.

Being Long Island is sooo overpopulated, there's really no such thing as an unknown spot anymore, however having a kayak makes it much easier to get into smaller spots that nobody else can with a boat or from the bank. Just today I was able to get to this area because it was only 1-2 feet deep but the guys with trolling motors wouldn't come near.

I’ve got one in Mass near where my brother and parents live. Nobody ever on it because it is very shallow and almost completely covered by lilly pads. But if you kayak across the lake and around a bend, you get to the dam and a long section of riprap and drop-off into deeper water. Loads of quality fish there. All a reaction bite: swim jigs, chatterbaits, jerkbaits, paddle tails, etc. Next step is to get better with my frog and work those lilly pads. Gotta be some biguns in there.

Bonus: when I get lazy and don’t want to deal with kayak put-in and paddle, there’s a hiking trail to that dam, with a raised grassy berm running its length. In spring, it’s a perfect spot to cast from. Summertime and the weeds get head-high and it’s a lot tougher to bank fish.

The stream isn't exactly secret since I posted my 1st response, so I found a small pond in the back of my grandma's house that is only really accessible by wading. And in July, in that lake I got the big fish I was looking for in that area!

I don’t have any. There’s too many people around here. Whether by chance or skill, many people have found anywhere I fish, even before I did. I don’t like to promote this, but some of the most overfished spots are still the best—with the right techniques and target species.

Fished one of my "secret", spots this morning. Not necessarily a secret, gets fished a lot, just not for bass I don't think. I see the bobbers and crawler containers, but the only baits I've ever found were small lipless baits I assume were intended for white bass.
