MVC95 Posted June 4, 2021 Posted June 4, 2021 Hey everyone, I have been fishing the Northwest River for a little bit now, with not much to show for it. My largest out of there so far has been a 2.35, but the rest have all been pretty small. I am really trying to up the size of fish I am catching there, as well as the quantity. I have mostly been throwing jigs, squarebills, chatterbaits, flukes, and ol' monsters, amongst other soft plastics. I do pretty well on other bodies of water in the area, but something about that river and around Bob's I can't seem to consistently find/catch fish. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Quote
Dasull84 Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 I was searching for the same answer. I fished today for 7 hours on a kayak and was completely skunked. I got a little too water bite that’s it. I saw lots of life and top water action. I tossed everything. I feel like I am missing something. Have you had any better luck? Any advice? Quote
CaptMikeStarrett Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 I fished it for a week in the start of October. First day skunked. But after a little trial and error I got into some good ones. Last day I got 24 on a pop r . It is tough to fish since it has no tide. But the one thing that was constant, with three boats and 6 good fisherman was the grass. Find the grass and you find the fish. Most big bass where caught on little swim baits from Reaction Innovations. Blue gill color was the best. https://indianheadcharters.com/adventure-week-2023/ Capt Mike Quote
