Mat_ski Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 It will be underspooled in about 4 months anyway. Quote
Super User WRB Posted June 3, 2021 Super User Posted June 3, 2021 Loooks right but the center is concave indicating it may not be tight. Tom Quote
Super User jimmyjoe Posted June 3, 2021 Super User Posted June 3, 2021 If the NASCI comes with shims, it appears you need to add the thinnest one to the main shaft. jj 1 Quote

Spools a bit higher. Never noticed a difference with performance 1 hour ago, WRB said: Loooks right but the center is concave indicating it may not be tight. Tom I spooled it tight with a glove in. My sahara lays line the same way Quote
li_bass_hunter Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 Looks good to me. I would bother with a shim. Like lay looks fine to me. Does it really matter? 1 Quote
Super User Spankey Posted June 3, 2021 Super User Posted June 3, 2021 Looks good I fish a few Nasci’s. Great reels. I guess you figured it out but the Nasci does not come braid ready spools like most good reels. But this is easy enough to get around. Has not been an issue for me being a mono and Fluor user. Quote

Tom It looks to me like the top has some extra wraps, but the bottom doesn't, which means the reel spools a little high if I'm seeing this right. Quote
Jcj90 Posted June 3, 2021 Author Posted June 3, 2021 I added the thinnest shin in the pick and the line doesn’t seem to spool as high. This was after a few casts 1 hour ago, Boomstick said: It looks good to me. Bubba 460 Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 You can normally add on a little more braid than you would mono but it looks good to go and ready to launch! Quote

I’ll just fish it What you need to do is cast more, or ideally get in a kayak on an empty lake, cast, row until most the line comes off and then reel just so it gets most of the line off and gets to respool it. Or go out and fish and don't worry about it. Either is as good as the other 1 Quote
li_bass_hunter Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 Daiwa actually designs spinning reels to have more line towards the top of the spool. Quote
