tale Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 I'm restoring a 1987 16' Astroglass with a 100 hp 2 stroke Mariner engine. It has been sitting since 2008. I know that before attempting to start engines that have set a long time, it is recommended to shoot a lubricant in each cylinder to help with movement. Is there something similar I should do before trying to move the engine up or down with the power trim? I'm wondering if I should polish the hydraulic piston to prevent oxidation from causing issues.
