I am curious as to your thoughts on this rod. I have been eyeing the 744c Champion XP for a while, but who wants to pay $260 for a rod, if the Kaden could be bought for half of that. The only thing I see different is the action Champion is Hvy XFast while the Kaden is Hvy Fast. In a perfect world we all know that extra fast action for single hook bottom lures is ideal.

So is the Kaden 744c more like an inch longer Fury 734c or does it act more like a slower 744c Champion XP.

I have a 734c it's my do everything, I love it for Texas Rigs with bullet weights 3/8oz pegged and 1/2oz Spinnerbaits, and so if the Kaden is more or less an inch longer 734 then it may not be worth it. Is this the upgraded rod to get for the all purpose in lieu of the 734c Fury?

What has your experiences been like using the rod?

Here's is how I want to use the 744c:

swim jigs and middle weight jigs, heavier bottom crawling baits such Rage Bugs or Bandito Bugs style Texas Rigged style lures 3/8oz to 1/2oz, Magnum T-Rigs, Magnum Shakyheads.

Enlighten me!  Thanks

You are on the right track.  The Champion 744C is extra fast and there is no 4 power that replicates it’s action.  It’s like a custom action for Jigs.  It locks up pretty quick.  I have fished wobble heads with it and it’s a good action for that application.

The Kaden 744C is a fast action but more consistent with a Champion 734C.  The action flex transitions deeper into the blank but when it locks up the power shines.  Mine is dedicated to swim jigs.  I could or would fish every bait you listed with confidence.

I ordered a Kaden 745C this week and that rod should be good.

So is there any reason to purchase the Kaden 744c if the Fury 734c can fish all those lures mentioned?

I'm trying to pair my 7 Speed Tatula SV TW with a rod. I want something in between a 734 and 735.  I have a 734 (All Purpose, T-Rigs, and Spinnerbaits) 735 (Jigs). From what I'm hearing it looks like I'll have to get my check book and get Champ 744c.

What are you using the Kaiden 745 for?

It’s versatile.. I currently don’t have it set up a dedicated rod.. right now there is a Siebert’s Jig on it.. will throw a frog on it … some swim baits. Will pitch moderate cover with it which is mostly my neck of the woods..
