Any round head or arky style will skip just fine.

3/8 or 1/2 ounce are easy to skip, I tend to go with 3/8 unless I need to get a little deeper or am fighting current.

Pick your favorite brand and skirt and you’re set.

Welcome to BR (don't forget to go to the introduction forum and tell us a little about yourself).

Think of skipping a stone across the water and what shape of stone you would pick. The perfect one would be flat with no sharp edges and maybe a little upturn on the edge.  The perfect skipping jig would have those same features. Just like skipping stones, a lot of different ones will skip just fine and so it is with jigs.  Also, keep in mind the trailer you'll be adding to that jig. Some, those with fewer appendages, are better suited for the task.

As for weight, your equipment and where you are presenting that jig will determine that.  It is counter productive to attempt skipping a heavy jig that is above the rating of your rod, or under shallow water obstacles. The flip side is too light for your equipment and possibly for deeper water.

If you're looking for a do all jig, one that you could use for different applications, a 3/8oz Arkie head jig is a good choice.

I’m looking into getting some jigs that are good for skipping. I’ve been looking at some of the @Siebert Outdoors jigs and also the BOSS jigs. What would y’all suggest?

Both Siebert and BOSS make great jigs.  I really like the Siebert Dredge Dock Rocker.  I find the bend in the hook holds plastics better and you can order them in a like 50 colors.  Quality jigs.  I actually like 1/4 oz. for shallow skipping and 3/8 oz. for a little deeper.  I only move to 1/2 oz. when I put a larger trailer on that will slow or I want a faster reaction bite fall rate.

Any issues with the hook bending or anything? Also fish any heavy cover with them?

I bought some of these...https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/search-tackle.html?start=0&count=30&searchtext=strike+king+skipping+jig. Haven't tried them out yet but they get good reviews.

These skip very well. They also work as an all around jig, but they skip well because they have a big flat head to catch the water.

Not yet.  I have caught 6 lb bass and snagged and no problems yet.  Yes.  I have fished some heavy cover, no issues.  I am not sure I would use 65 lb. braid with and extra heavy 7’10” flipping rod.   There are better jigs for that in my mind.  They are not super heavy duty, but no problems skipping docks.
