Super User scaleface Posted June 2, 2021 Super User Posted June 2, 2021 I still Texas rig a bunch . My favorite for shallow brush are senko style lures . They are heavy and pitch more effortlessly than most . If I'm casting , like out on a point , I like Jelly worms and other skinny style baits . 2 Quote
Super User Mobasser Posted June 3, 2021 Super User Posted June 3, 2021 I would still recommend that a novice practice and learn to get good with a t rig. After the topwater bite dies off, or the fish refuse a spinnerbait or lipless lure, for me, the t rig plastic worm is my go to bait. Teach yourself to slow down with a t rig. It's been one of the best and most consistent bass lures since its invention. 1 Quote

Super User DitchPanda Posted June 4, 2021 Super User Posted June 4, 2021 I still use the boring old Texas rig worm often...especially in warm water. Trick worms, senkos, roboworms, bottom hoppers, power worms and several others. Gonna mess around with some zoom mag 2s this summer..never thrown worms that big. Speaking of old and proven I rigged up a Mr twister phenom today...very good underrated worm. Quote
