Super User Koz Posted June 4, 2021 Super User Posted June 4, 2021 I don't know, but all I can think about is someone should come up with a comedy about tournament bass fishing, call the movie something like Bubba Bass or Bass Holes, and the two main characters are names Skeeter and June Bug. They would be played by Larry the Cable Guy and Jeff Foxworthy. Their main rival and resident evil villain would be Greg Hackney. Play up every stereotype. It would be hilarious. 2 Quote
schplurg Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 Just saw this at IMDB website for "A River Runs Through It" Quote Crazy Credits No fish were killed or injured during the making of A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT. The producers would like to point out that, although the Macleans kept their catch as was common earlier in this century, enlightened fisherman today endorse a "catch and release" policy to assure that this priceless resource swims free to fight another day. Good fishing. Uh...what? We do? I don't!!! I just don't want to eat bass! People don't eat trout? Funny they keep restocking the lakes all the time. Fish are not priceless or endangered. Anyways, I've never seen this movie so I will do so. I'll be sure to eat fish while I do. I would think that "enlightened" would mean that we fish for food rather than terrorizing fish for our enjoyment, not the other way around! I am not enlightened. How about catch and release deer hunting? "Just shoot 'em in the back leg, Clyde, we gotta release 'em!" "Wow, you're so enlightened, Fred!" BLAM!!! 1 Quote
Crankin4Bass Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 Has anyone seen "Man's Favorite Sport" (1964) with Rock Hudson and Paula Prentiss? https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0058324/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 1 Quote
