What is your best shaky head plastic?

I’m a fanatic of fishing the shaky head technique and I’m always looking for new plastics or ideas to build on. So what’s your most productive plastic and color?

 

For me, Zooms tried and true trick worm holds the torch in my race particularly in June bug with black/scuppernong/watermelon red holding up the rear. I’m really itching to try Big Bite squirrel tail plastics next.

If it's not a Trick Worm, it's usually a Zoom Finesse Worm.

Netbait T-Mac 6.5" is a good shakyhead worm.  A YUM Money Craw also does well for me on it.

After years of using the Trick Worm, I became frustrated with them not floating, or at least not consistently. Switched to NetBait T-Mac straight tail worms and have never looked back. Tail always floats and is a lights out worm when shaky is on. When the bite is subtle, a floating tail prevents you from over working the bait - it undulates better on its own IMO. Great Carolina worm too. Plus its hard to beat 20 worms for $4 anymore.

Yum 10” ribbon tail in red/purple is a fav. Zoom trick worms, but also a big ribbon tail of any brand. 
 

I also use the Big Bite squirrel tail. I’ve been less than impressed and I really like big bites products. The squirrel tail is very thin so it only works on small (1/16 or less) heads. And looking at the action of it in shallow water...idk. I was disappointed. 
 

I use it more as a small Carolina or drop shot now. And boy does it work for those.

I really liked the Havock floating worm. I think it was called a Bottom Hopper. Last year I tried out the Zoom Z3 Trick Worm and I really like the color options even though I only use three of them.

Zoom Super Fluke on the Hog Farmer stand up head. If you want a meatier profile, the Hog Farmer Spunk Shad is awesome as well on the same head.

If you open the question up to any "jigworm" presentation, then I have a few favorites:

--Zoom trick worm

--Zoom U-tail worm

--Mister Twister Phenom Worm

--Biospawn Plasmatail

 

If we consider "shakyhead" specifically to mean a shaking presentation on the bottom, then my favorite is the Strike King 3X Super Finesse worm.  First, because it floats and the tail always stands up.  Second, because for awhile it was available in Pumpkin with Green Flake, which is my favorite of all soft plastic colors.  That color is discontinued now, but I have a few dozen bodies left.  And Third, because it's made of elaztech, I have been able to get by using the same worm going on three years...so my stock might just last the rest of my life.

When I first tried a shakey head, I only used a Zoom Trick worm, because that's what was recommended by everyone. It's worked well, but since, I've had good luck with Zoom finesse worms, Zoom Chigger Craws and Roboworms. I think a lot of soft plastic baits can work well on a shakey head.
