Is it a bandwidth issue or something why photos or videos must be so small?  I have tried uploading photos that took with phone or videos of baits I have painted and always too big file?  What are you guys doing to scale them down then?

I think it's bandwidth - Glenn isn't independently wealthy and the sponsors only pitch in so much...so he's gotta cut some costs somewhere.

For me - re-size with either Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop...usually around 40% of original if taken with my phone or tablet.

Photos taken or sent from an iPhone or iPad give you a choice of files sizes when you are getting ready to post them. Nothing else you need to do to resize.

Email from phone to iPad works best, choose a small file size. Otherwise, Photoshop Mix for iOS. It’s free and easily reduces file size.

I can't post a pic from my phone, I have to email it to myself and then save it so I can re-size it.

What works for me is I take a pic then take a screen shot of the pic and post the screen shot. It works more often than not.

I have an app called "Photo Compress" that I use to shrink down photos.  It's not real user friendly, but it is free if you don't mind ads.

Take the pic then go to gallery and enlarge pic, hit save, done.

Every pic I've posted, I've had to enlarge.

I used (used) to use Photobucket. Now I download my pics to Imgur (hidden, not public) and insert the link via the Other Media below. Simple and no resizing issues.
