Super User Mobasser Posted May 20, 2021 Super User Posted May 20, 2021 I think color choice comes down to confidence. Lots of colors can work well, but if you " think" you'll catch fish on a certain color, you'll probably do better on it. 4 Quote

Cause it gets bit! Why does it get bit so often? Cause that's what I keep throwing! 2 Quote
Super User MIbassyaker Posted May 20, 2021 Super User Posted May 20, 2021 Pumpkin with green flake: I would get every plastic bait in his color if I could. Quote
Super User Bird Posted May 20, 2021 Super User Posted May 20, 2021 1. Watermelon red flake. 2. PB&J. Quote
Black Hawk Basser Posted May 20, 2021 Posted May 20, 2021 The most consistent one is the one I most consistently fish! It's probably green pumpkin with blue flake, or watermelon with red flake. Quote
SC53 Posted May 20, 2021 Posted May 20, 2021 Black/blue ( flake or color) Okee craw Watermelon red Junebug It depend on what body of water I’m fishing here in Florida which is my go too. Be tough to pick just one. Quote
Super User BrianMDTX Posted May 20, 2021 Super User Posted May 20, 2021 With a Senko it’s #956 watermelon with copper flake/orange with red flake. hands-down. #297 green pumpkin w/black flake is a distant second. Quote

Smells like fish Posted May 21, 2021 Posted May 21, 2021 If it has Watermelon in its name I am happy. Also a bluish or purple color gets equal shared time. 1 Quote

I believe it's contrast deal and the dark color offers contrast under different lighting and water clarity. Blue or purple flake boosts my confidence. Second this. straight Black has become a staple in my arsenal the past year. 2 Quote
NavyVet1204 Posted May 21, 2021 Posted May 21, 2021 Zoom/Yum Trickworm June bug watermelon red black I’ll also add cranberry and scuppernong to the list. These five colors totaled have accounted for a vast majority of my catches in shaky head and T-Rig. However, the three listed up top are dead nuts my honey and sugar. Quote

But Black, Gr. Pump., and pumpkinseed would be my choices. For a t-rig worm. 1 Quote

And for the most consistent color, at least in a senko, is GP/watermelon laminate. For whateve reason I bought off on Gary's comment about making the color because he was tired of trying to decide whether to throw GP or throw watermelon. I think I like the GP/watermelon laminate because darker back lighter belly is a common thing in much of what they eat anyway. Not a fan of the black and blue/junebug laminates though. Quote
Super User Boomstick Posted May 23, 2021 Super User Posted May 23, 2021 Definitely green pumpkin for me, but I've had luck with various watermelon colors, junebug and motor oil and some others 1 Quote
