BassSteve Posted May 20, 2021 Posted May 20, 2021 We all know when it comes to fishing for bass you can catch them on pretty much any color soft plastic. If you had to think about it, of all the soft plastic lure types, what color gives you consistent results, at any time of the year? For me, the most successful and effective color has been junebug. On sunny days or close to sunset it didn't seem to matter. 2 Quote

Super User WRB Posted May 20, 2021 Super User Posted May 20, 2021 If you are in Florida the most popular soft plastic color is June Bug. Black with blue highlites is popular as jig trailers and green pumpkin everywhere. None of those colors are my favorite Cinnamon with purple or neon blue blood line for soft plastics work in SoCal lakes for decades. Tom Quote

They smell great too, almost good enough to eat... 3 minutes ago, WRB said: If you are in Florida the most popular soft plastic color is June Bug. Super User GreenPig Posted May 20, 2021 Super User Posted May 20, 2021 My most consistent color is Junebug. Green Pumpkin Goby has been making a run for the title. Quote
rtwvumtneer6 Posted May 20, 2021 Posted May 20, 2021 Black. I believe it's contrast deal and the dark color offers contrast under different lighting and water clarity. Blue or purple flake boosts my confidence. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted May 20, 2021 Global Moderator Posted May 20, 2021 Some variation of green pumpkin. I don't use regular GP very often, but all the GP flake colors. Not sure I have a favorite, kind of whichever one I grab first. Quote

InfantryMP Posted May 20, 2021 Posted May 20, 2021 Okeechobee Craw has been my absolute best color producer. I do like the watermelon's and pumpkins as well, but If I had to grab one color and put money on it, I would grab Okeechobee Craw, or the version of that in a specific company. 1 Quote
