hey I'm building a poling platform for my 15ft Carlson skiff and was wondering if anyone has ever built one before and if you think it would be beneficial for bass i think i will really like it for bedding bass and sight fishing which i love too do i will post some pics when it done ;D

For an inexpensive pole, I used 1 1/4 PVC pipe in 2 sections 8' long with a male and female threaded coupler on each piece and a cap on the handle piece, and a "T" with plugs on the submerged piece. This works fine for me when I fish shallow coves (2' to 4') here in Arizona.

well I'm done We used conduit for the legs and marine plywood for the top. I cut the legs at about four feet but you can custom fit it to your boat. I just thought i would post this for anyone who wants a poling platform. It cost us about 120 or 130 which is way cheaper than the 200 and 300 dollar ones i have seen
