George Welcome Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Watch out for that sudden stop when you hit some of that Florida wood. I would not recommend it! Quote
bass or bass ? Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 For an inexpensive pole, I used 1 1/4 PVC pipe in 2 sections 8' long with a male and female threaded coupler on each piece and a cap on the handle piece, and a "T" with plugs on the submerged piece. This works fine for me when I fish shallow coves (2' to 4') here in Arizona. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted October 30, 2009 Super User Posted October 30, 2009 Talk about top heavy. Quote
Kowen117 Posted November 15, 2009 Author Posted November 15, 2009 well I'm done We used conduit for the legs and marine plywood for the top. I cut the legs at about four feet but you can custom fit it to your boat. I just thought i would post this for anyone who wants a poling platform. It cost us about 120 or 130 which is way cheaper than the 200 and 300 dollar ones i have seen enjoy Quote
Strike King Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 i like that great job! you should add a diving board for those hot days Quote
